@nanaicv You can't.. :D That's why WPAs are way more harder to crack than WEPs as you have to dictionary crack them (sometimes even bruteforce them). It takes a huge amount of time and also a huge list of passwords. Google "rainbow tables" for more information on gigantic (4gb+) lists. Cya!

wpa is not worth trying to hack. it takes atleast 1-2 days to crack (depending on lengh of password) just stick with wep cracking.

@sacboy9 better download ubuntu, aircrack does not work as good on windows: wwwDOTubuntuDOTcom (remove the DOT and type ".")

then when ur done, go to the terminal and type: sudo apt-get install aircrack-ng

@CryptoDriver ur right, a 63 character password will protect your wifi in THEORY.. but what if i was sat outside ur house with a Fon running Jasager which basically will send out packets basically saying no dont let anyone connect to Crypto's network but they can connect to me and ill pretend to be crypto's network and i would become Man in the Middle.. Google hak5 wifi pinapple and you will see what i mean.

There are 2 network in my area.

1 with wpa psk but without any client connected to it ( everyday ).

1 with a wep encryption but a very strange channel CH 123 and sometime it change to 103

there is not ESSIE or it s hidden.

somethine strange also another network, called EnGenius with channel 64 but i can t inject packets to it

because the program doesnt allow channel up to 64.

You'll have to wait until someone connects.

@Timsilmax Yup to get the 4way handshake you need to wait for a client to connect and then either wait for the connection or if they already have a client connectied run a deauth attack :D

hi i asked this on anouther video but i use backtrack 4 to do this but gettin board of the look of it do the airmon-ng airodump-ng aireplay-ng and aircrack-ng commands work straight away on install or do you need to find download and install them

Excellent video. Do you just require one handshake regardless of whether or not you have acquired around 10,000 pieces of data? Also, do you recommend a dictionary i should use when cracking WPA keys?

You're talking about both WEP and WPA now. Only WPA needs handshake, and only WEP can be decyphered by 10.000+ packets.

As the dictionary goes (only for WPA obv.) I suggest finding a good english one, or a language used a lot in your country.

yes substitute it with the device you've installed patched drivers for. so could be;;

airmon-ng start wlan0 or airmon-ng start wlan0 or any other device

then airmon-ng will give you a device name to use with the aircrack tools.
