The Viewty can hold a maximum of 2GB MircoSD memory card which works out to approx 500 tracks.

I have an 8gb sdhc card in my viewty now and it works fine. You will need to fill up at least 6 of the 8 gig of memory with music, vids etc so there is less than 2gb memory free, then it'll work.

Are you using a memory card in that phone as there looks to be a lot of songs? and also if you are what size is it because ive heard that the maxumum possible is 2gb, is this true? Finally, whats the volume like, is it fairly loud or quiet?

Music player is also cruel, however, low volume, but it can be changed in the "secret menu", which is reached by writing 3845*990

i would like to know if it is possible to set up multitasking. It takes a long time to access handset lock (going to menu--settings--security--hand­set lock--immediate) Is there a possible or an easy access way to put the handset lock on the screen or on the menu or in the multitask area?

We suppose the quick way to access the security menu would be as you mentioned above. Go to Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Security and now tap and hold the multi-tasking key at the top and then tap home screen.

Then all you need to do is tap your Multi-tasking key and tap Security and you're all done :)

What do you mean? To help the phone sync with a mac? If so form what we have heard there is no software for the Viewty to sync with a mac however the mass storage facility works of course :)

Was wondering if there was anything that would need a computer? Heard that a CD was included in the box, is there anything vital on there to prevent the phone from working properly. Think that made sense. Thanks

Hi gb103325,

On the CD it has the LG PC Sync software which gives you access to the phones internal memory which helps to take things off the handset and to your computer. The PC Sync also has the connection suite for using your mobile as a modem which is pretty simple consdering previous versions.

It does have the Divx Software on the disc also - maybe you'll need that to convert films into DivX format.

Does the phone actually have a Mp3 player in it? And if so, Do you buy and download music from the phone internet.. Or can you plug it into your computer, and transfer songs to your phone/Mp3 player? Can you listen to the music through headphones/speaker like a ipod or mp3?

The phone has an MP3 player which can play MP3/AAC/ACC+ - iTunes music formats. Depending on which network or service provider you are with they should allow you to buy music from their library plus if you have music on your laptop or PC then you can just copy from there. If you have a memory card inserted then you can use the mass storage device which means you need no software to copy and paste music across. Your computer will recognize it .....

You can listen to music aloud, through earphones, by using a speaker system with a 3.5 mm jack, or even the Bluetooth stereo speakers (A2DP).

Which iPhone are you reffering to 2G or the new 3G?

We certainly hope so - we can't see why not the majority if not all LG handset are available on Verizon. The only option at the moment is to purchase SIM free however there are 2 versions of the handset -

KE990 - is the USA variant and lacks 3G/HSPDA has uses EDGE technology plus it has a lens cover for the camera

KU990 - is the European variant which has 3G/HSDPA technology for faster data connectivity.

Depending on which network you purchased the handset from it will have the YouTube link. As far as we are aware T-Mobile, 3 and Vodafone are the only ones with the link enabled in the Google menu. However the other networks opted not to have it. You can still access by going to m.youtube . com . We know that some sites have published the UI for this which is downloadable and can be installed by the user how it is quite technical and will invalidate ....

We have been searching for a while for this and no easy way to do this unless you are extremley good at programming. Skype have not made the Symbian verison downloadable yet from their site.

We have not heard anything about a Java application being available however I am sure you have heard of JahJar and MINO which do provide VOIP Java applications. iSkoot is the closet to getting the Skype application to work on the handset however it dials a local landline then ....

We were originally trying out a concept and found the response to be very high. However from this point forward all new videos will be recorded using a HDD video camera to give perfect clarity.
