  • it 's hurt my ears , boy !

  • oh yeah I love the sound at 8:15 ! thanks for showing that it's possible to do stuff like this with the v-synth. now I'm one step closer buying this thing

  • is this keyboard multitimbral?, can it go beyond making pads and noises?? what is A v-SYNTH? A VP-9000 WITH FILTERS AND A KEYBOARD?? not even Roland explains what the synth really do as a whole

  • It certainly looks great but I'm worried I wouldn't need half of it's functionality. I don't believe they've done anything special with the 'realistic acoustic dynamics' and although the choir synthesis is very impressive, it has pretty limited application.

Is this worth having for the effects elastic sampling and analog modeling alone?

  • GREAT !!!!!

  • this is HORRIBLE

  • awsome sounds man... i'm looking to buy one.. i'm into sound alchemy and design (as I see you are to) and was so and so for buying a V-synth... I got pretty far on analog synths and VA's but it seems that the V-Synth could take me a step further and complete my sound pallete... BTW it would be awsome if you could share the patches for the V-synth comunity that I hope to join and contribute to !...

    Cheers and keep soundsculpting man!

  • oberhein ..lol nice scary sounds power electronic

  • The Synth is Awesome. The person playing in this one....

    ...well...you decide.

  • you could do the scary eary music for scary movies.... it would be perfect

  • I would love to do the scary nusic for the scary movies :)

  • It would be scarier if u play diminish chords instead of 5ths and 6ths

  • @nomorenames6393 lol at eary. It's spelled eerie.

  • quanto a gusto sonoro fai un po schifo eh? e che ddue palle maronn!!!

  • this is the best vsynth video on the internet. please make more!

  • nice stuff

  • are the pianos "acceptable" in a rock mix?

  • The V-Synth is not famous for it's pianos. It's an awesome keyboard though!

  • This reminds me of the Hartmann Neuron. Interesting, but not very useful in a practical setting.

  • i thought so too when i got the v synth. but after updating to version 2.0, i'm back to the 80s. has juno and D50 oscillators. plus JP8000 osc and some others.

the XT is about 700-800 used now.

  • Hi, does it have piano samples too? Thanks

  • i have one, and no, sadly it doesnt come with one. but let me tell you this, i was able to sample a piano sound and it sounds pretty good. honestly, though, when i want to play a piano sound, i hook it up to my old casio via midi and play on the vsynth because the action on it is awesome. ive had mine for 3 years and its still exciting to play with it. i learn something new about it every time i use it.

  • Thanks for the video. Nice to hear some of it's attitude rather than those commercial examples that are to find.

  • im looking to get a fantom g6 and i was wondering if it would have sounds like that

  • no! the G6 is simply a well endowed S+S synth (a very nice 1 at that) where as this is a full on variphrase & VA synth, so its sound manipulation & scuplting are alot more detailed & flexible

the G6 is a workstation, this is a performence synth

  • but you can still format beats too on this right? like you can make drum patterns and have 16 for the verse and 8 for the chorus, also can you import vst in to this keyboard?

  • There are only very few keyboards you can import vst in and the v-synth is not one of them...

  • I want your synth! Ignore those faggots that say you suck because you don't play "shred" on your synth. They're just jealous!

  • Wow! Exactly the kind of music I would want to do :) Thanks for this example of the V-Synths capabilities and giving me another input for buying it ^_^

  • no... this is a synth, not a piano. you dont need great "chops" to deserve to play a kick ass synth. in my experience, most people who are great piano players cant program a decent synth patch to save they're life.

so in closing, I may not have great chops, but you can garrentee I can make this thing (& others) spin on its head!

its not all about finger-buility ya know ;)

& thus... the v-synth is in VERY safe hands... mine

    turkeys rule

  • @rlouve

Well said. I have great chops and a long classical/jazz piano background. Over 20 years. I recently got into synths/sequencing, DnB, etc, and I totally suck. All the piano skills in the world mean nothing when It comes to crafting a nice synth sound and making good rythms with good sounding patches.

  • @rlouve well you need to be pianist to make this synth work perfectly so...

  • am I stupid... no

are you for making such a pointless & unconstrctive comment?... it would appear so.

in closing - turkeys one of my favourite meats, & I have a V-synth

    that is all

  • You are a jealous dork, cenking.

  • This shows off the capacity well, but the audio is weak, and why is it in mono? Why not upload in stereo if you're trying to show the sounds off?

  • its in mono because it was recorded directly with the webcam I setup. quite simply I couldnt be bothered that day to go through the whole rigermoral of getting a great camera angle, setting up nuendo, recording both video & audio seperatly, syncing the 2 & doing a full edit to, & then upload it too youtube heh. it was just sumin I threw together in about 15 minutes (including the 10 minute duration of the actual vid)

  • hey, play any decent synth or sampler mangle the sounds and put through fx and bingo.experiment.you dont need an expensive machine.......get some filters

  • Not the point. plus its in a single package and oyuc an get one on ebay for 1000

  • hi.very nice.i am in love with this instrument.i have a fantom x6.its not too bad,but this V is the best.i also like the VIRUS.great sounds

  • wow!

  • oo i love this!! i have played on the v-synth once and now i am in love :)

  • the sounds are exactly like various DX7 sounds i developed more years ago...but with more real-time control,of course

  • this guy could have scored cloverfield

  • I don't know the price but one of these days I'place an equivalent done with my old Technics KN6500 ( has an arranger too)

I have some sounds on my YT page but those are not really for demonstration

  • Great samples, but bad video quality though... :|

  • uhm.... maybe too much noises.

  • you did a good job showing it's power, but I didn't like how it was so dark.

    cheer that synth up

  • awesome sounds!!! thanks for the cool V-synth vid!

  • Not bad, i'd hope it's more capable than those sounds though. :)

  • learn how to make constructive criticism first, then leave a comment

  • lol!

  • i have one of thoses...but i prefer my norlead3 and supernova2

  • I saw a video of a HORRIBLE example of the V-synth in action, & it really didnt do it justice, and eh guess what, it was your video. Awful distorsion on the recording, uninspired playing and bland old patch.

  • there is no distortion on the recording. any grit you hear is intentional and would recur through any monitoring setup

  • Check out PavelPap demo

  • lol - (youtube noob) I was replying to:

    nxsyn (9 months ago)

learn how to play first. Then make a video

  • Interesting vid :)

  • OK. I will. Thanks a lot for the tip, buddy!

You really must have authority on such matters what with the LMFAO's and whatnot. Like, fully rofl lol XD...

You could allways stick your head in back of your television set and see what happens perhaps?

What do you consider sound design then, smart guy?

  • Screw the guys who dont like distorted sounds. The trance twats can go watch 99% of all the other synth vids that show off nothing but clean boring dance pads. Your vid is sweet. This is exactly the stuff I'm looking for. Thanks.

  • Thankyou for showing us some of the sounds V-synth can do. I'm still not sure whether to go for the XT module with its Vocal and D50 addons. The GT is far far too expensive. Yeah great sounding synth and worthy of the Flagship status.

  • It's obvious what this vid is showing! He's poking the analogue monster. Duhhhh

  • Don't like that sounds. It sounds like Absynth presets. I can't use those Sounds for my music. I like more the good old spacy Jarre Sounds. But at 7:05 it sounds nice!

  • What r u showing? how distorted this synth can sound?

learn how to play something, then post another video.

  • Perhaps people are more focused on sound design than wanky solos?

Either one is justifiable so keep your nerdy arrogance to yourself I say.

  • Not sure if your comment was ment for me, but i don't care about wanky solos. My comment was ment as a reply to layzer80 further down there.

This synth, as far as i see, is a sound designers dream machine. I really want this to complement my Radias.

  • No, it was targeted at the same person as you.

I too wouldn't mind a V-Synth if it popped up in my porridge.

  • sound design....LMFAO. put your tv on a channel with no signal so all you hear is static....now play with the volume control.

thats right, spend $2000 to make sounds

you can do for free on your tv.

  • That's the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard but thanks I will try it

  • This is sweet! Forget what that one dude said. check out our stuff let us know what you think. We are on sound click and Just search for Avtomatbot.

  • I'm not really digging this video. Don't get me wrong, the V-Synth is the most incredible piece of technology I've ever heard, but I don't get what this video is showing.

  • Le clavier gris au dessus, il opture le D-Bean!!!!

    J'adore le V-Synth V2 & le nouveau VSynth GT.....
