this games great, but the main problem is that online play is pointless so need 3 as good as you friends to keep it fresh and fun, i hav'nt had that luck with this game, but SSBmelee i owned since 2002 and me and my friends only put that one down wen brawl came out, great game, i was young link for like 6-7 years worth of playing ! NO other game has had that effect on me and my friends !

Everyone who is harping on the wifi play, it is impossible to eliminate all lag, there will always be some when using wifi. And it doesn't matter about distance between systems, 1000 km might make like 5-10 frames lag, but it is your/someone you are playing with's internet/ router quality.

In short, dont blame the game for your own mistakes.

the putdown of online play is that some people dont have wifi and have no friends that are interested in playing ssbb thats what bothers me. what i wish they did was make the computers more realistic in gameplay because 1 player in custom stages sucks cus all the comps r noobish. its a 8.4 for me

I love this game, i actually like the sse and i dont see the problem with it. Its true that it can get you bored, but thats only if you play alone, cause this is one of the bestt (if not the best) party game. I didnt get bored with it and im still playing it.

Dude I have several months now of not playing SSBB uz it got me bored, the only new stuff in here are the new characters, the story line and the finish moves, and still its not that great, I think for me it was better the Melee

Awesome review for an awesome game. I think the Subspace Emmissionary mode is not a disappointment but an improvement from the Adventure Mode from Melee. It's hard to figure why everyone still plays this game even when lackluster realistic fighting games like Soul Calibur IV, Dead or Alive 4, and Virtua Fighter 5 was released. Heck even if Street Fighter IV comes along, Super Smash Bros. Brawl will always be here to stay.

Subspace Emissary is one of the best adventure modes I have ever played in a fighting game let me think a second, how many fighting games DO have a story mode? Compare Subspace Emissary with 'Aracde-mode', being the the only mode to unlock stuff in so many games. Weapon Master mode in Soul calibur or Dragon Story mode (?) of Dragon Ball Z. Or even any other fighting-game-story-mode doesn't even come CLOSE to the Subspace Emissary.

You must play it on the easiest setting then.

I don't think Brawl is a massive improvement from Melee, they made everything too easy.

You don't even have to tap A to do endless combos! (You just hold A)

Grabbing items in the air is now too easy, edge grabbing happens from too far away, and some of the characters are shit (Dedede, ROB, Game&Watch) Why not stick Knuckles, Cpt.K.Rool, or even Megaman in there!?!

Still, I think it's a really good game, but could've been a LOT better.

pikachu gets owned hehe. I actually thought the subspace was a huge improvement over ssbm's adventure mode. I agree that some of the control's for it were awkward and there was some repeating, it was still a great mode. There were a lot of different kind of enemies, puzzles, and power-ups. Beef it up to intense mode and 99.9% of the time something is always happening. Loved the boss battles, and co-op mode was a great add-in. This game is freaking awesome! XD
