  • And it wouldnt come off and it got wedged in between the barrel and the bottom where you put shells, and the metal cover is kind of bent, am i screwd?

  • I have a question. On our Winchester Model 1300 Defender. Its my dads gun and I took it out walking around the other day just shootin and blowing away rounds, well it is real snowy and it was snowing so much that it got ice on it and everything and it was wet, so my dad told me to take off ( I dont know what its called ) its like a black plate with a bunch of holes and it covers the barrel, well he told me to take it off and oil it, well I took it off with allign wrenches, Out of letter continue

  • Hey! I have a problem with my gun...it is this exact model...it is stuck where you cannot move the pump grip at all...what do you think it is? thanks for your time!! ...Rick.

  • Nice username.

  • your video was very helpful thx. you seem to be very inclined on the workings of firearms. I have a the same model (win. defender) with wood stocks and for some reason it won't eject the empy shell out of the chamber, can you give me any info on how to fix that problem? thanks

  • this is a stupid question, but i just have to ask....Is Norway the only country in the world were u have to be in a gun club and for the last 6 months, to get cleared to buy a weapon?

  • Man, Thank you very much for this video! I have had the W. defender gun for 20 years and never knew how to

clean it or take it apart. You have no idea how thankful I am to you! Thank you very kindly my friend!

  • That flashlight you have... I find its more convenient if you turn the light on/off from its butt (with a regular click switch), rather than mounting a pressure switch on the side. But thats because I dont want any wiring hanging... Looks more clean too.

  • >dat Kill Bill

  • awesome vid, very informative

thanks for all the clips you have posted

  • that pistol grip looks hard id get a diff 1 from hogue i have 1 for my 870 an 500

  • Very nice to the point video and one hell of a gun! The best at close range self-protection one can legally shoot especially with 00buck High Velocity ammo. If 8 shots doesn't get the job done you better get the hell out of the area!

    Again, thanks for the instructions!!!!!

  • Thank you for the video. I'm thinking of making this model my first shot gun. Do you recomend this model for a begginer level? Thank you again

  • @LatinSal This model is no longer made

  • @Toophless1 no longer made but can still be found...

  • I have a Winchester 1300 defender, and i am trying to get the bolt assembly back into the gun, and its giving me hell. I hold the decock button and all that, nothing works. Can someone help?

  • thanks man for the vid. i have the same gun and was wanting to put the pistol grip on it.

  • I have the 1300, And the 870. Love them both more then my ex-wife. Well you know what I mean. We are still friends. But they are my dear friends. Nice vid dude. Keep it up, And don't tell my ex please....... She would have my ball's in a vise.

    GunSmoke

  • Thanks for that, got my 1300 now, good to have these instructions available !

  • very good video , love the way you set up the cam

    love to ask you

where and what best price can i locate a forearm

, it has a small line crack..

again thank you for the video

  • Thanks for the info. and the vid...

  • thank you for this video i just bought one for my g/f but it was second hand and didnt come with a manual so i wasnt sure how to disaseble it so cheers

  • Is the stock pretty sturdy? or is it loose and noisy? i'm thinking about getting one but my friend has a collapsible stock on his mossberg and he says its very flimsy also do u know where i can get a composite pump grip without the handle?

  • When pulled out all the way Yes it can be a little shaky and loose. I know some people don't care for the ATI stocks but I think for the money their a pretty good buy.

When collapsed mine feels pretty good and is not really shaky and thats how I like shooting mine anyways but for some people they simply won't care for it

  • @theVirus7 I have the pistol grip and the full stock and both are solid. I like the full stock best.

  • Many thanks.

  • Thanks for the informative video. I LOVE my 1300 Defebder! It's the fastest, most reliable pump shotgun I have ever experienced. It has never once jammed in 11 years.

  • Another good vid from Kitb, thanks man!

  • The 1300 is in my view THE riot gun of choice. 18" barrel, 26" at the rear of the reciever, holds 8 rounds. Rock and roll. Awesome piece of hardwear. Too bad they are not made anymore.

  • Model 70s and 1300s are back in production, I believe.

  • I got a 1300 ranger.

  • another great 1 like i said just got 1.

this will help alot for a field strip thxs again. any pros or cons on that stock?

    thxs again

  • Great video, very helpful. keep up the great work.

  • To the world of 1300's My extractor fell out. Its a bitch of a piece to put back in. Any help I am humble to. I was an armorer in the us army and am feeling down.

  • Is there a big difference between a model 1300 defender and i guess a regular 1300? Are the tac star grips still going to fit the non-defender?

  • Well I'm not realy sure but I think the only real difference between the 2 model 1300's are one is more of a hunting shotgun , as in longer barrel , longer stock , shorter magazine tube and the defender is more of a tactical shotgun , as in shorter more tactical parts like you see in the video.

And yes I'm pretty damn sure them grips will fit a Non-defender 1300.

  • I own both and agree with what you said. I have 2 pistol grips on my home defender, heat shield and shoulder strap/ shell holder full of double 00 buck. It came with wooden stocks but now with the pistol grips its all black, short and looks bad as hell. I bought the hunting Uplander 1300 because I liked the Home Defender so well

  • is'nt that stock from an m4a1? also when you did'nt putted on the stock it looked like a remmy :P

    Awesome work :D

  • awesome how-to man. Do me a fav please and respond to my 1300 video with this one. I think a LOT of my viewers would appreciate your breakdown demonstration and I'd like for folks that follow me to see your stuff too. 5 stars all the way. I used your video to do my own 1300 build.

  • No problem man , thanks for watching.

You already made it a video response right? Do you still need me to do anything?

  • Hey Kicked, can you put a pistol grip and keep the original stock on it ? I finally found a 1200 but I want to keep the stock and just put a pistol grip on it.

  • Not that I know of man. I know you can buy stocks with pistol grips and these stocks are very much like the original stocks ( As in shape , look & feel ) but as for some how rigging a pistol grip on the original factory stock , I never tried it.

  • Thanks bro, I'll look into it. Keep the vid's comin.

  • thanks kicked, another great video.

  • I have a quick question with my 1300. I took it apart to clean and a little plastic ring/washer came off of somewhere inside the forearm or mag tube. There is also a small metal washer that came loose inside the mag tube. Any clues are greatly appriciated. Keep up your great videos bro.

  • Well check out my New Video on the Wichester 1300 and see if that helps you out a little.

It that video I cover some of the things your talking about and watching it maybe able to help you out.

There is a Small metel washer that goes in the inside of the magzine tube cap ( On the ltitle nipple inside the cap ) most newwer 1300 have this small washer to help keep the magazine spring retainer in place.

The New video should be in the video responses.

  • hey awsome videos,i also am a proud owner of a defender, got 2 questions how acruate are the sights on the heat shield and is the recoil the same or more whith the colapsible stock compare to teh original one, keep the great videos coming, thanks

  • Well the recoil is a little more for me cause I like my length of pull to be nice and short (AKA I have it collapsed all the way when I shoot it) but I'm pretty sure with it fully extened the recoil could be even less , Due to the recoil buffer pad and you can take more of the recoil with your hand on the pistol grip

And yes I like the Sights on the heat shield , gives you ghost ring like sights at half the price of having ghost ring sights drilled & tapped into your receiver

    Take care man

  • baught mine today )))

  • nice work on the parts list but you shoulda showd the sliding spring in the breach the long one idk what its calld but it jumpd out of the barrle on my defender and fukd it up lol i found it and put the end back in the barrle and it works fine but it had a retaining clip on the back .... i think ... anyway i found have of it when i removed the trigger can you tell me if theres a push washer on the 2 bar spring thing in the breach..

  • Im new to the youtube thing, and have to ask what Im sure is a simple question.

Is there a way to download these videos so i can have them on my comp just in case they get deleted off of you tube?

  • what was the the place u said @ 7:32

  • " delta force magazine " Sorry about the audio man , my new camera has much better audio.

  • yes question, how did you install your heatsheld? mine is diffrent can you please message me me back. where you got your heat sheld? thanks

  • 1 question i got mine about 1 year ago :) very good gun um but when i try to slide the bolt out. so do i have to apply a little more force? or is it broken?

  • Thanks for the videos. How often do you clean your shotgun? A video on properly cleaning it would be great.

  • I clean all my firearms after everytime I use them.

Ok I'll put a video of how to clean the 1300 on the to do list.

    Thanks for watching man.

  • Hey,in inches...exactly how long is that barrel shroud on your defender. I am looking into the ATI with the ghost ring sites, but I don't want it to interfere with what I already have on my 870. Also during your install did it mess up the finish on your gun?

  • just received a 1300 from a cop for my b-day. pistol grip. love it. thanks for the vid, learned a lot today.

  • Thanks man. love the video. this actually inspired me to drop the walnut stocks on my 1300 and get an ATI top folding stock, mag extension and light/laser.

  • No problem let me know how it turns out for ya.

    Thanks for watching.

  • Hey you got some pretty good videos yourself thanks for sharing.

  • ehh man awsome vids , i'm ova here in canada n i was wondering how old is the the 1300 defender ? i was thinking of buying a mossberg magnum 500, can i do any mods to that ? thanks let me kno

  • This 1300 defender I have is only about 6 years old. Yes there any many Mods you can do to the Mossy'd also but sometimes the parts can be alittle bit harder in find for them.

  • Another great vid,I also own the 1300.Great shotgun for the money.Only thing Ive done to mine is add a side saddle tho.

  • ROFL, I love how there are no hate comments or things like that because of one logical thing that comes to mind. Am I really going to piss off a guy with a shotgun? XD Nice vids man, you helped me install my stock. THanks!

  • lol no problem man

  • Funny, but I think it's that most of his viewers are gun people, so they're inherently respectful and interested.

  • Every mod in this video, I should have said.

Just in case anyone else was interested.

  • I couldn't find the stock at Deltaforce but found ever mod at atigunstocks.

Thanks for turning me on to this stock and awesome videos man.

  • No problem man thanks for watching

  • I wanted to get a 1300 but my local dealer couldn't find one without paying a lot for shipping so I got a 20" 8 shot Cruiser.

I'm definitely gonna get a light.

Good suggestion about making a groove for the pressure switch.

  • No problem man thanks for watching.

Hows that cruiser working out for ya?

  • I just ordered it today, the warehouse sent my dealer an 18" 6 shot and he had to reorder the 8 shot. He'll get it on tuesday, but I'm going to an IDPA thing that evening.

  • Hey man great vids. Just wondering if u got any Sub Guns to show of would be awesome if u could run thru one

  • What do you mean by Sub guns?

  • Submachine gun for example The H&K MP5 or such

(Was a bit tired posting the first one lol). Thanks

  • ohh nope don't got none of them ( I don't have a class 3 )

  • Hmmm...sounds like "Kill Bill" music to me.The "Samurai Shooter" strikes again!!I am not familiar with this weapon but it sure looks formidable.Even if I landed on my butt shooting it, I have the impression that the target would have the same experience :) .

  • Yep there from the Kill Bill soundtrack good call man.

  • Great video!!! Did your Surefire G2 come with the pressure switch? I was looking at there website and i cant find it.

  • No it did not come with it. Try the delta force web site ( I think I payed about 20 bucks for the pressure switch )

  • thanks for all the videos. there great

  • Thanks for another great clip. I enjoy watching them.

  • Excellent video on the 1300. I have had my 1300 for several years and you cant beat them, a true work-horse shotgun. The AT stock is great as well, Advance Technology makes good products. Plus they are located right here in KY. :-D

  • Five Stars Man!!

  • say ,expertvillage on youtube buys instruction videos for up to 500$ per video/vmpslr2

  • Damn WOW 500 pop shit where do I sign up lol

  • I'm not big on shotguns.

After adding those add ons, that shotgun is awesome!

Do do any hand loading ammunition?

  • Well I have a friend that reloads and sometimes I'll go over his place and do alittle reloading ( mostly 9mm & 40 S&W ) But I myself do not have all the reloading gear.

  • great video, you might think about setting up a web sight an selling them for profit, thanks /vmpslr2

  • OH man, thats a nice shotgun, I've been looking for one of those for years. I had one long ago and it rocked and fukkin rolled bro. Blat blat blat.. hit hit hit. Don't come on my sailboat if I have one of those my pirate friends.
