My wife's parents raised four children to adulthood in rural Cambodia during the '80's, when the U.S. was harking Cambodia's suffering by embargoing the country. I'll care about what some tourist with a sectarian religious agenda has to say about the Cambodian family when she has done the same thing in rural Camodia, with the same lack of resources. You wouldn't last for very long on your own with no money and only a hectare or two of land to work in rural Cambodia, town dweller.
hey man, thanks for the comment and letting me know your feelings about this video. I didn't create this video to look down or berate cambodians, quite the contrary, that was why we send teams all the time to cambodia to help out at orphanages and go into the rural areas of cambodia and spend Christmas with them. As for the comment at 7:15, i'm so sorry that it may seem out of context, but I told my friend to translate whatever the cambodian guide told us.
@oswaldwasaleftist so the whole point of the video was the evidence of Gods love in the people, the community and wherever we went. The comment at 7:15 wasn't said about Cambodian parents, it was a unfortunately to say, some of the parents in cambodia do exploit their children to make money. And I'm thankful that there are parents like yourself and your wife who love your children and set the example. its not only in cambodia, its all over the world.
7:15: "Children aren't for loving and caring". Typical hateful cheap shot from a tourist who has never had to wake up in the morning in rural Cambodia and figure out how she is going to make some money for her family. I'm the father of Cambodian child and I deeply resent anybody suggesting that my wife doesn't love our son because she is Cambodian. I'll be in Cambodia for six weeks starting this January 17. Say this to my wife's face and I'll translate it for her. Show some respect.
