As a South African who grew to political consciousness under the apartheid regime and who now enjoys the benefits of a liberal constitution ... it scares me that crack-pot religous fanatics can hold such strong sway in the the country that used to be the poster boy for democracy and freedom!

Youtube hates it when somebody screams LAWSUIT! Everyone wants to do it, even if the video doesn't have any copyright material. If youtube is facing a lawsuit, they should look into the material and determine whether or not there has been copyright infringement before removing said video.

I'd suggest going to one of the prominent atheist sites that contradicts Hovind's unscientific view with actual scientific findings and make a video about how stupid Hovind really is. For instance, Hovind has a bit about Vitamin B17 (arsenic) and tells about all the health benefits of eating a peach pit (which is lethal).
Why not post a video about his moon dust claim. He claimed that scientists built the shoes for the moon lander so big because there were supposed to be like 9' of dust on the moon if it was 4.5 billion years old--the only hard evidence that I could find was a NASA report from 61' that said that if the moon was 4.5 billion years old, there should be 2.5" of surface dust (exactly how much there was).
I thought that domestic pressures opposing torture were getting Bush to close the Guantanemo bay facility; but I thought that he was going to send the people that he was torturing to Afghanistan, so that he could have them tortured without the American people watching. At least that's what I heard on the BBC.
If they sent in counternotices, are you sure they don't just have to wait? The way I understand the DMCA, after the counternotice, YouTube waits not less than 10 or more than 14 BUSINESS days to reactivate the video to give the accuser time to give YT proof of a lawsuit. If there's no lawsuit in 10 BUSINESS days, YT puts vids back up. That's been my recent experience w/YT (see website-under-construction liberalviewer(.) com)
