Oh and btw in World Karate Federation competition they wear a red or a blue belt to distinguish the two opponents when the judges make their decision at the end of the round, it does not represent rank at all, both of these guys would be black belts.

@mascohouse well depends on your style of karate (i do shotokan)... i think its a red belt... which is higher than black... in the karate he does anyway... i read it somewhere in a book.

there is no red belt in karate.the highest belt in karate is Black but there are Dans

1 Dan or 2 Dan or 8 Dan.but in the Championship the judge by red flag or blue flag

so there is red belt who always play first and blue belt

you see red flags and blue ones but in karate has white yellow orange green blue brown and Black there is no red belt man believe me...I play karate since I was 3

this video is Shotokan so it is very different from Gojo ryu ..I don't know many about Gojo ryu but I meant about Shotokan and Shito ryu and ask your coach about any red belt in karate except Gojo ryu he will tell you that there is no red belt except in his style Train hard and try to learn shotokan you will love it
