  • @tpizza01

LMAO. Wow, you're really torn up over this aren't you 8D

  • @tpizza01

    You are pathetic :)

  • I wish that the actual game graphics had the anime look of the intro, too bad the PlayStation 1 didn't had that capability

  • @tpizza01 You are extremely egotistical, "look at me I'm a psychologist everyone! what i say isn't opinion but definitive fact! I know more than anyone!" Nothing in psychology is definitive until you have delved deep into their mind, so that would be considered as egotistical.

  • @tpizza01

I happen to be conducting research of my own. It is called "The effects of gunshot wounds on human physiology." Since I helped you with yours I think it is only fair you help me with mine. I will require you to locate a firearm and shoot yourself with it, and then to send me all of your observations.

  • what is this feeling, a hit of nostalgia.

  • There really aren't enough anime out there that celebrate the western genre.

  • This is the game that made me fall in love with video game music!! My favorite genre TODAY!!

  • Although the game was okayish but what made the game a classic was this amazing intro and the music that goes along with it a classic. that reminds me when ever a feel like going on a adventure or hiking in the woods at a local park in new jersey or even when im sitting down on a sofa with nothing to do

  • i have alot to catch up on, (still a noob, Me and i'm proud of it =) )

hmm anyway, i wish i can get this game where i live. wouldn't mind playing it untill after i judge it.

  • Beautiful. I've played Alter Code F and loved it, but an attempt to hunt it down failed, so I picked up the original instead. I don't mind in the LEAST. The intro is still lovely, perhaps even more so, and... and I'm going to enjoy playing this. So much.

  • @Altamyr Alter Code is rare. they made a very few copies. i used to have 1 but unfortunately my PS2 did not want to play it to i returned it to where i bought it. try different gamestops

  • @lifewithkaos03 Yeah. I looked on GameStop's website and there's ONE within the 100mi radius of my city, but it's really far. I wonder if GameStop will ship games to different locations...

  • The Final Fantasy are just as fantastic, but I feel like a lot of people missed out on Wild Arms 1 & 2.

  • Song f*ckin rocks. Listened to it every time I turned this game on...which also f*ckin ROCKED!

  • i love this song

  • great song

  • Every time I'm walking down an empty hallway (that I know I can get a good echo in) I whistle this theme Lol

  • The intro of this game is the most beautiful part of the game. Unfortunately I did not find it very interesting. But the intro is really gorgeous, so awesome and I think of old days, when I was a teen ager... I watched this movie in the past so many times. It was worth to switch on the console just to see the anime.

  • God how can anyone dislike this game? This game would have made a pretty good cartoon

  • When I was little this used to always make me think of Clint Eastwood and The Man With No Name Trilogy

  • le dedico este video a quienes fueron mis amigos en el pasado quienes ya no lo son mas R.I.P

  • I loved this game. Yeah it defentaly brings back memories for me also the first rpg I ever played through. How couldn't I the story line and game play was amazing it always had my attention grabbed.

  • This really is my favorite game of all time ^^ I love it and always will - it is what got me into RPG, Fantasy, adventure type games like final fantasy and it made me interested in anime and manga which I love now too. This game is my ultimate game of all time - thankyou for loading the opening here ^^

  • Does anyone else think Alter Code F added a lot of stuff but somehow lost the magic of the original in the process, or did nostalgia just affect my perception of the remake?

  • @TgSnowwy its a complex question. i love alter code f and this but they are both their own game in their own way. for instance i love the battle system they made in alter code f not really that different from the original but those small changes do the difference.

  • I've finished chrono trigger, never played diseaga and unfortunatelost wild arms but still

  • This was the first game I ever played on the Playstation. I still remember how much it blew me away.

  • So its been 15 years already ? Damn, how fast this time goes by ..... funny thing, so far for all those years, I've managed to finish only 3 RPG's : Wild Arms , Chrono Trigger and Disgaea .... It was really a hell of RPG

  • An RPG music that never left my mp3 or my playlist.

  • I love how this video was put up 5 years ago and people are still commenting on it. thats how you know this game was epic. its really sad that they dont make great games like this anymore. i remember when i first played this and this intro just gave me goosbumps. this is why i love being a gamer.

  • One of the greates intros ever (specially soundtrack)

  • @dellagustin agreed goes well with a clint eastwood cowboy movie

  • @ApeCape92 It sure sounds a lot like Ennio Morricone

  • That has to be one of my top songs in any RPG period. And one of the top RPGs ive ever played.

  • My first Playstation RPG. Man, imagine seeing ths play after playing SNES for years. EPIC. Still have all 6 games near mint.

  • Getting goosebumps again when listening to this song now.

Still remember playing it for the first time, rather than playing the games I kept listening to this song and FMV over and over again.

  • @GigawingsVideo love this opening. tried to get my band director when i was in school to let us perform this at a marching competition.

  • @lifewithkaos03 Do they play it?

  • It's one of the very few games I wish I could play again as if it was for the first time.

  • game good

    battle graphics sad

  • ಠ_ಠ FREKIN AWSOME i just love old rpgs

  • Tanterrimo piangetti [cit.]

  • Amazing...*-*

  • This was the first Playstation game I had. It's a real pity they don't make more RPGs with Zelda-esque exploration, like this game.

  • OMG I'm crying. T_T I love this game so much

  • Wild Arms and Alundra the 2 best RPG games for the PS

  • @jeremygliss What about Suikoden ? That was an epic game as well

  • Never owned a PSX in ma life. Today I got hold of a couple of PSX titles, so my e3 this year is pretty much Grandia, Wild Arms and Xenogears :D

  • BRB, just crying. THE MEMORIES.

  • when i watch it,i remember when i was still kid,i love to reset my psone just to see this op

  • Nostalgiiiiaaaaaa!!!!!

  • I wish the psp re release had made it to europe :(

  • Awesome intro awesome music brings back so many memories :)

  • One of the three PSN classics I bought (back in the days when there was a PSN :P) Epic game.

  • @fungihoujo Now that it's back up, guess which game I'm going to download first? ;D

  • the greatest intro ever made

  • i need to play this again. for the sweet love of everything japanese, i need to play this. someone, GIMME AN EMULATOR!

  • @schleprock86 I'm pretty sure ePSXe can run this game

  • to me this brings back memories to me

  • めっちやいい曲。

  • My best music ^^

  • I love the art direction here.

  • Most of us who played the original Wild Arms back then were passing by time and waiting for the release of Final Fantasy 7 and who would know that 14 years later, we are still here listening to Wild Arms tune. For me, this is the best game I've played in my life.

  • @timpest indeed i purchased it to pass the time til ff7 came out...and accidentally stumbled on one of my favorite rpgs of all time

  • I still have this game! I feel so nostalgic while watching this opening !

  • I cannot believe one is even able to dislike this, I mean.. Come on. :( Cannot compute.

  • @optimusbest

I understand where you're coming from. But also understand, that objectively speaking, this is a VERY BORING VIDEO to anyone who has not played the game.

The music is low-key, and the animation is... less than topnotch.

  • @mastermenthe I havent played the game and i like this opening...It's not like i think its super epic but i liked it enough to come find it agian

  • @mastermenthe

    Yeah, oh well. Fair enough.

  • fantastic

  • gets me all choked up seeing that intro again.... ah good times good times....

  • Omg Rudy~! ! ! *Fangirl scream*

  • Looks like 13 people hate Dream Chasers

  • Whoa, I love this game! I hope and pray they make a new one on PS3. How awesome would that be?!

  • @Retter81 I believe it would be GREAT if they didn't mess anything up. This is one of those games that you need to do right, and if they don't they're going to have a lot of pissed off fans.

  • @RyukiTheBat Indeed this is very true.

  • @Retter81 Although, they do have a remake out on ps2 call Wild Arms Alter Code F, with everything updated and remastered.

  • @RyukiTheBat Alfter Code F was not dissapointing at all. It's an actual remake, the way a remake should be. Not too much added and not too much removed. It's nicely balanced, and of course graphicaly overhauled. :P The true fans will always favor the original, but Alter Code F is most definitly done right.

  • Best ps1 game ever

  • is the better wild arms opening ^___^

  • wish there was an anime of this

  • 666 user's like this. :)

  • elle est bonne quand meme la toune

  • MY first RPG on the PS1 good ol' days :D

  • I love this game its one of the best intros to.The new games dont have intros anymore =(

  • I just realized this ripped off Ecstasy of Gold from the Good, Bad, Ugly. The whistle is the same. I lived a lie

  • @psynema

Ecstacy of Gold is the OVERWORLD THEME also known as Lonely Bird in the Shire.

    This is not EoG~

    =)

  • @psynema

This opening theme is not a rip-off of EoG.

EoG is renamed "Lonely Bird in the Shire"~ the overworld map theme

  • @psynema You're not wrong there pal, just a little muddled.

"Ecstacy of Gold" was ripped off for the overworld theme as pointed out below, but this song IS ALSO ripped from the Dollars trilogy - the one you're thinking of is the main theme from "A Fistful of Dollars!" :)

This is a great game, with a great intro, but as a fan of films and music as well as videogames, it really frustrates when people refer to this soundtrack as "the best ever" when it's really Ennio Morracone!

  • Best western intro ever.(pardon if I got it wrong)

  • I don't know anything about Wild Arms but I love this theme :)

  • i like all soundtrack in this game

  • i miss this game. the first rpg i ever played. we will play agin

  • This song is awesome, and really adds to the western feel of the game, and sets up the counterpoint of fantasy and western very well.

  • That damn whisstle is awesome.

  • epic song too

  • best game Intro ever... I love it!

  • ワイルドアームズは初代OPが一番好きだな~

  • Stop Comparing FF7 a WA1...both are legendary RPG games....probably top 5 world wide. The only thing is that the intro to Wild Arms is really stunnig as do the game itself. But FF7 has the advantage in using a better storyline and characters much more distinguished.

  • @fejonico yeah but wild arms goes with the old western them why ff7 went with the modern them

  • @topdog2007 I think Post Apoclyptic gone Wild West would sound more accurate =P

  • @nailstare ah that true i guess

  • i still like how this opening is over the wild arms alter code f one

there the same in a way but i played the 1st one more than alter code one

  • wild arms is really underrated.

  • First time u have sex can be disappointing, but playing this game as ur first RPG is probably the best decision in ur life.

  • greatest masterpiece of an intro ever...

  • Absolutely legendary.

    Thats true

  • My copy doesn't Play this opening. It just plays Jack's origin story back in Arctica. What's the deal?

  • @YuriLuvinAnarchist European/Austrailian Version perhaps?

  • It had been years since I played this game and when I found the intro on YouTube a few years back I was really surprised to recall that the intro was fucking awesome...particularly the opening guitar.

  • Wild Arms 1 = A game that real "gamers" play.

FF7 = A RPG that is has no sense, no clear storyline. Simply played by wannabe gamers.

  • @ramzarugliabeoulve I like both... FF7 stays my favourite RPG.

  • gess i decide to take a look down memory lane haha... i used to play this game quite a bit one of my first to be exact

  • beautiful ... I didn't play the game (just watching my brother play ) but I addicted to the opening scene and music!

  • This epic game deserves much more than just being in FFVII's shadow v.v

  • i miss this game

  • I never played this game. But i feel like this could've been the PS equivalent of Chrono Trigger on the SNES.

  • the best of the best

  • This came in recommended for you and I've never heard about this or seen it before but it looks really good. I have a question is it turn based?

  • @himez123 yes it is, but its more for the story than it is for the battle system.

  • @Reishuto oh I was just wondering I really want to get this lol

  • 2 is the best siries

  • How I wish they can bring this type of gameplay , music and storyline for "today" games.

  • oh yeah man!!!

  • my fav rpg game :)

  • I have played so many rpg games and this is the best rpg game ive ever played.Long and hard game.Loved every bit of it.

  • This game is gonna be the best RPG i'va ever played, for ever

  • aaah... the memories...

  • one of the best rpgs of all time.

  • hey guys how about we request to the creators of the wild arms to create a psp version

  • I played the first one when I no older than maybe 6 or 7 and I only played it once, I got stuck on the girl's opening quest (QQ). Somehow though, this theme song has been ingrained in my head ever since. I often catch myself whistling the theme. For a while, I had thought it was WA2's theme as that was the one I extensively played. When I realized it wasn't I was a little amazed that I remember a song I likely heard twice, was still so clear in my head even today.

  • Omg, the memories. I love this game.

  • as soon as that whistle starts......

  • i cry!!

  • its a shame you don't see title sequences liek this anymore. not only does the song immediately grab you it sets the tone to this game. starts off slow with a steady tempo, then as it goes on it rises in tempo and and it drives a feeling of purpose into you. almost like fulfilling a promise from long ago no matter the cost. its a true shame gaming today will never be like this again with the constant barrage of sfx and gimmicks replacing good story telling and character connectivity.

  • i completely agree with every word you just said

  • Hmm...I recently heard of this Wild Arms games and I wanted to try them out.

What game should I begin with?

btw,Square Enix and the creators of Wild Arms are making a RPG togheter, but it's only coming to the iPhone :(

  • This one!

its the best one of them.

  • One of those openings you simply HAVE TO watch every time you play it.

    Absolutely legendary.

  • @PotNoodleOnBread it is the best rpg theme opening ever :)

  • @PotNoodleOnBread agreed, underrated pre FF7 RPG.

    Shining Force 3 also good

  • @psynema Yeah definitely. I played Shining Force 2 more but it's a damn good series.

  • maybe the greatest intro movie to a game ever

  • @cresfresh552 Lunar, Shining Force 3, and Panzer Dragoon Saga > but a good intro none the less

  • @cresfresh552 yes

  • To the remake of Wild arms is one of the best EVER, it actually managed to take the original and make it EVEN BETTER YEAH!!!!!!

And that is RARE. the ONLY thing I had something to say about was the funeral march part (Wild arms alter Code F)... why did they cut out the vocals (just because it was in japanese probably)?? at least they should have kept the theme.

  • ちっちゃいころ初めてこのOP見た時すっごい感動したの覚えてる(ノ∀`)σ

  • This is the RPG that sets the yardstick of the RPG's that came after this game.

  • i have orgasms every time i see 0:40 , best guitar here and scene.

  • First game on Playstation, first RPG ever, got stuck on the fuking part where u have to shoot the mouse at the nun, couldnt firgure it out...took me a month....sad....ahhh the memories....

  • old school epix

  • Added this to my 1996 music playlist, thanks for the upload ! ! ! !

You will hear music from any year on the playlists I'm making for each of the past 100 years. Always a work in progress, be patient as I fill out the shorter lists.

Or, share vids to me to add if you know the release year.

  • Inargurably, the epic game of the 90's. Maybe of the whole time....

  • @ramzarugliabeoulve more than FF VII? I think not.

  • @MrDrinkingLysol FF7 was overated

  • Wow i remember when i was young and played that game i sued to be crazy about jap anime so i recorded video game intros on a
