@gayle2020 That's what I'm saying you would think they could add 3 MORE seconds to the video and show the end result...They Never do...That's why I ignore their cooking videos...LOL
I thought I'd give this a try as I wanted a slightly quicker preparation time for doing this in a crock pot. Even after putting in all the ingredients you can clearly see it's too dry. I've made so many perfect Mac & cheese in the crock pot, but even after an hour of checking and stirring I could tell this wasn't going to work. And by the end of the 3 hours the pasta had not cooked (About 80% still hard), & the cheese at the bottom had melted into a black sticky mess. Pasta has to be cooked 1st.
This isn't a 'chef' recipe. This is a just-moved-out-learning-to-cook kind of recipe. It isn't fussy or intimidating so that new cooks can start learning to make food from scratch without panic.
I mean it's easy, but what kind of chef uses "liquid cheese"? He's not a chef, but probably a cook at waffle house. and you're not supposed to stir while the crock pot is cooking because if you repeatedly stir the crock looses heat and it takes LONGER to cook!
LOL - I can just see the finest chefs in Paris watching this with their jaws hitting the floor saying "He's an American Chef"? I love how he tosses everything into a crock and then with such precision places that lid on and sets it & forgets it. Magnificent - Maybe he can cook at the White House.
oh man thats just plain wrong, pasta that hasnt been boiled retains all the starchs and gluten and that leaves it with a strong flour taste, it is even worse with the cheap pasta's.
this guy is an idiot
