The beef was that when Slipknot got huge in 2000 all the small bands like 35" Mudder and Index Case wanted Slipknot to plug them in at there shows. And Slipknot declined, and 35" Mudder and other local bands died.. Another reason is that when Shawn owned the Safari Club he'd always get pretty famous bands on the bill and instead of spreading to love around other local bands he would only put Slipknot on the bill ahead of any other bands, so no other bands got looked at.

I'm interested in seeing the documentary, and I understand why a lot of Des Moines would be pissed at Slipknot for what they did, but honestly.....a lot of these "could have been" bands sounded like crap nu metal that no one would have cared about even if Slipknot had promoted them.
