Now a days the pads are so much smaller guys don't/can't lean with their shoulder and throw a licking down like Ronnie could. So they end up throwing their whole body, in which the offense lowers their head in reaction of getting hit, and bam, someones knocked out. That fact that people even compare Sean Taylor to Ronnie Lott in such a short career tells me that Taylor would have been a sure fire HOFer...he was just hitting his prime. To me Lott is the greatest ever but I think Taylor would have gotten to his level and maybe challenged him for that title, thats why his death is just such a shame.

With all of the controversy in the nfl this year about helmet to helmet hits, all i have to say is defensive players of this era are pussies. If you look at all the hits that Ronnie Lott made in this video he led with his shoulder or chest and still rocked the s#*t out of everyone. Players today need to take lessons from players such as Lott.
