I keep my hair pretty clean, use good smelling conditioners like Suave (careful about those fragrance ones, they will burn your scalp) and do a weekly shampoo(once a week) and co-wash as needed. I try out a couple of styles, I can't go out the house and NOT put water, leave-in conditioner and make sure that my hair is styled decently
you are too dang silly TPindell. I'm natural, and i'm on youtube, and even I get aggravated seeing these bum ass looking heads. Put some oil, moisturizer, water, juice n berries, hell spit would even be better than that dry, brittle crap I see all the time. Hey, if you couldnt take care of your relaxed hair, you probably are gonna struggle with your natural hair, it requires just as much work if not more. I've gone natural without wearing extensions for an entire year (go ME! :) ) but I agree w/ T-Funk; it all comes down to how well individuals take care of their hair. Basically what the brother is saying is that natural hair is cool BUT, you have to make it look as close to curly white women's hair as possible. Black people have the most beautiful, majestic, hair ever, NOBODY has hair like us. You look around at all the other ethnic groups and they all have similar hair types, black people on the other hand are the only group to have something so unique... and we don't even appreciate it.

I can understand people liking the style of someone elses hair better, but liking their type of hair better than yours is a real issues because you will never have that type of hair. People tend to think that black hair doesn't look good and that you don't care for your hair if it doesn't look socially acceptable which is code for "as close to white as possible". People look at white hair as the "good hair", to get this good hair white people get up, wash it, and comb it. When blacks do the same thing it's not good enough? Makes no sense at all to me.

this kidd is exaggerating. but i do agree that if you are gonna go natural, you should do it right. i really don't like perms (i associate it w/ self-hatred/conformity. struck a nerve? too bad >:-P), but i still make sure i don't go out the house w/out my hair shiny/moisturized. ^__^ Maybe those females he saw just didn't have it down packed yet? idk, but when natural hair is done right it looks better than it does permed. a lot of chicks with permed hair overprocess their shit anyway lmao

I keep my hair pretty clean, use good smelling conditioners like Suave (careful about those fragrance ones, they will burn your scalp) and do a weekly shampoo(once a week) and co-wash as needed. I try out a couple of styles, I can't go out the house and NOT put water, leave-in conditioner and make sure that my hair is styled decently

I've gone natural without wearing extensions for an entire year (go ME! :) ) but I agree w/ T-Funk; it all comes down to how well individuals take care of their hair. There are many resources and info available so to go natural and be lazy is no excuse, and an utter waste. TLC is very important for all hair types. #JusSayin
