@jurassicturd3 12 years of age and the "new Spartacus" (It's a TV series called Spartacus: Blood and Sand) just don't mix buddy. That little taunt might work on some newer versions of classic films like the Star Wars prequels, but with the content that theSpartacus: Blood and Sand has, there's no way you could be 12 and be allowed to watch it.
The muscle guy fighting Kirk Douglas was played by Woody Strode. He is referenced in the book "Isometric Power Revolution" as the author describes the uncle who taught him about isometric exercise:
"I've seen lots of guys with bigger arms, bigger chests, and bigger legs, but I've never seen one more perfectly put together than my uncle. In fact, if you've ever seen the physique of the actor Woody Strode, you know precisely what my uncle Milo looked like."
@Klibanophoros I agree!! I love the story of Spartacus but I absolutely hated the series. It was so graphic that I think it stood in the way of the story!!
@Trekiefreak777 Yeah, but if I'm looking for a brief, semi-relaxing escape from the daily grind, I'm not necessarily looking for "realism", especially not in slow motion 3D!!
thank god for the new spartacus this is ridiculsly funny

Actually in Ancient Rome a thumb down meant that he was shown mercy and not killed. They got it kinda wrong there lol.

@soulripper31
Yes. Also, if a gladiator was worth anything, he wouldn't complain but rather present his neck.

@jurassicturd3 Besides, if you have seen it, even old timers have to agree the fight scenes in the series are more awesome than this.
