  • Holy shit!!!! your dog is so smart,, me like your dog ......... can it be possible to teach to my 2 month old greatdane?? as of now she only know sit, bark and sleep..

  • Wow! How did u train ur dog to jump like that?? Soo cool

  • Ok so ur dog MUST be 18 mo or older to learn a jumping trick and must be checked by the vet??? Just wondering :))

  • @josski32 Well... I would say 18 months before doing flipping jumps... you never know what could happen. The main thing is not doing repetitive and high jumps- like agility and frisbee. Low jumps- 2 inches etc are fine, and higher jumps every once in a while are fine and natural. but the dogs growth plates haven't sealed. Some breeds tend to have bad hips from genetics, and some border collies have this- so that is why I x rayed her hips first to see if they were ok

  • @kikopup oh... that makes sense. I heard 2 years somewhere so I was unsure...

  • NICE VID!!!!!!!!

  • can i use this on any dog???? :O the amazing tricks? I love to do these things with a GR :D

  • @VDOUBLEVx sure! I mean, some dogs like to do certain tricks more than others- so play to your dogs strengths

  • I really love the video. I enjoy watching your training videos, because I am a trainer, of both pet dogs, and Military Working Dogs. I am always looking for advice and different techniques on training, as well as different tricks and skills that a dog should know. Thanks for Making the videos. P.S. Where are you located at, and do you know anyone in the San Antonio area that does advanced dog training? Thanks

  • Love it Emily. Splash is one talented pup! How is Kiko doing these days? I miss her videos.

  • Those are really cool amazing (and crazy tricks :) - I love your creativity! Great job, Emily and thanks for making these great videos, again and again and again. Can't wait to try some of tricks with my little dachshund (won't let her jump too much though, haha). Can wait any longer for your Dogmantics II... Keep it up!

  • Fantastic Emily ¡¡¡¡

Me encanta ver tus videos, buenisimos los trucos de morderse las diferentes partes del cuerpo.

    5 stars for you.

    Bravo Splash

  • Fantastic Emily ¡¡¡¡¡

    I love your videos ¡¡¡¡¡¡

    Great work¡¡¡

  • Amazing video Emily! That tail trick was pretty neat. I've never seen that before. I'm sure Splash is going to be amazing at frisbee and agility! Can I ask you for a bit of advice though? How did you teach splash to "cross paws"? I don't think it was in this video; you know when the dog lays down and crosses paws?

    5*****

    Hayley & Indi

  • if you search 'how to cross paws' on youtube- you will see zsianz's tutorial as well as mine :) Have fun!

  • Thanks Emily! I didn't know you and Sian had tutorials for this. I'll look them up right away. :D

  • Great disc work! You guys will be rocking a freestyle frisbee field in no time, maybe we will see you at a competition?!

  • I have A LOT to learn... I need to practice my skills more than I do... luckily I met someone- Al from Whydogsfly and he is really helping me with my throwing ability. I think I got like 50% better in two weeks! I just need to keep working on it. Hehe, perhaps they would let me do a routine with splash with invisible Frisbees at competitions? do you think?

  • Great video! Splash is so smart, and looks like she truely enjoys doing her tricks for you. I've been watching your vids for a while now, and want to thank you for encouraging people to train with possitive reinforcement. Althought I don't have a dog (I've got a bird), I firmly believe in possitive reinforcement training in all animals. You're a wonderful example of how trainers should work with their animals. Thanks for making me smile & giving hope that neg. reinforcement can be eliminated!!

  • OMG! I had no idea they stepped on a dog's tail to "teach" them to tuck the tails! That's awful! I am so glad Splash! illustrated that there is a better way:). I love the new tricks. "Get your foot," *lol* Love it:).

    Happy Clicking!

    Ashley & Kaine

  • /clap clap, nice work

  • Que Bien Emily!!!! Muy buen video me gusto mucho, en especial los "tricks" con frisbee , Felicidades pra ti y Splash!!!!!!

    Saludos !!

    Omar

  • Great Video and Great tricks!!! Congratulations

  • Awesome!!!!! Great tricks! You are an awesome trainer!

  • Amazing. I love to see all the things dogs can do.

  • How did you teach the front crossing of the paws...that's so cute! My guy can march (pick up same foot as mine while sitiing in front) and this would be a great addition!

  • I love this video!

Yikes - I'm a Service Dog trainer and I've never even heard of trainers stepping on SD's tails... the school I went to doesn't teach anything to do with tails, but all the dogs seem to naturally tuck in. And I train Poodles, so haven't found it to be an issue.

    -Jillian

  • Hey, sorry! It wasn't meant to bash Positive Reinforcement Service Dog trainers! And I wasn't trying to be mean to compulsion trainers either. :) I did the trick because I bet someone that it was possible to train 'tuck tail" another way. Also from snide comments from compulsion guide dog trainers about how silly clicker training is...

  • I'm glad you put this comment in here. I saw and loved the video but got upset at the implication (i assumed) that SD trainers aren't kind to our dogs. I have a clicker trained SD and she ROCKS, positive reinforcement makes for better bonding in a SD team. Your a great trainer, love the vids.

  • you just need to find something your dog will work for! :) Sometimes it takes a while to find out what the dog really likes for a reward.

  • thats amazing my dog is so stubborn, even when she was tiny

  • This is a lot more convenient than harming the service dogs. I hate how they do that, and I don't like how people crop dogs tails, either. It just seems so cruel.

But I'm glad that you could show people that it wasn't the only way! By the way, I'm so glad to hear Splash! is doing well.

  • Really inspiring... !!!!!

  • Yay! Another great video. You work so well together I never tire of watching you both x

  • VERY nice .!.

  • Another great video. Your creativity is amazing and inspiring. :-) 5*

  • Unos trucos muy divertidos y muy bien trabajados.

Enhorabuena por tu manera de manejar el cuerpo.

  • Wow, that was some great frisbee-ing (LOL, I just made that up). Can't wait for more videos!

  • i wish i could teach my dog anything with having to scare the crap out of her. shes a 3 month dobie :|... shes learning but shes disobedient.

  • I love the precision footwork--gotta teach that to Kharma for a future freestyle routine! Splash's jumping rocks too.

  • wow! this is great!
