trailers especially teasers are only ment to give a synopsis so no matter the genre of the movie of course it'll look over hyped or seen that before some movies can be hard to promote if the story is awkwardly marketable or something unfamiliar its so easy to market James Bond or Freddy Kreuger but sometimes the movies that dont come across as blockbuster familiar are usually are the ones that get judged the quickest ive never heard negative comments on a Harry Potter trailer ..

It was an answer for those previous commenters who said previously that it totally looks like as Prince of Persia and/or Legend of Zelda, and they also said that it's a mixture and/or clone of it. I was who said that how the hell can they say that it's a LoZ or PoP clone when it was written in 1917? This upcoming movie is a more deeper creation to say that it's a "copy" of something which was created more later.

Can anyone tell me they didn't name this A Princess of Mars, like the book that this film is based on? Naming it John Carter in my opinion, is kind of stupid, considering that this movie is probably wanting to start a franchise with this and so it'll probably want to adapt the other John Carter books too.

Surely naming the movie "A Princess of Mars", or even "John Carter and the Princess of Mars" would be a better title for a film that's going to start a series of John Carter movies, right?

Looks epic and true to the books... Only a couple observations... The martians in the books were red, white, yellow and black... Dejah Thoris has red tattoos, but she is not "Red" I am hoping that all the races are not just considered that color based on the color of thier tattoos. The green man "Tars Tarkas?" looked really well done but not quite as large or menacing as I imagined... John's leaping skill was shown off and it looked totally realistic... Looks very promising...
