  • What a joy to hear it, I often wonder whatever happen to brother Davis, is he still with us? Or, did he go home to be with the Lord? I can still remember my dad taking me to the camp meetings. He didn't speak English, but he knew how to worship, i.e. Hallilujah sounds the same in any language. Thank you for playing, I felt you were just playing it just for me. Peace be with you. Much love.

Henry Quiles (Key-Less) easy to pronounce now

  • @HenQ715

Hey Henry, yes this song is just for you, I am so glad you enjoyed it, God is so Good, I believe Bro. David has passed on but Richard Page is still around, living in Jupiter FL, he played the piano and also played this organ to relieve Bro. David

Thanks for visiting with me, I hope you subscribed to my channel.

    Dennis

  • Dennis, thank you for this video. The B-3 is my most favorite organ, with the Leslie. It's a blessing just to hear it played. Thank you for sharing it..........Robert

  • @SP567

Hey Robert, Long time no hear, I'm glad to share with you, I grew up on a C3 with leslie so I know what you mean, it is awesome, did I tell you I got a new Casio PX330 keyboard giving to me, I play it along with my Lowrey, sure sounds great. Send me some of your playing, ok?

    Dennis

  • Dennis your a master my friend, It is amazing how that sound takes me straight back to AA Allens tent meeting when I was a young boy.....thanks for sharing

  • @dan1955ish

    Hey Dan,

Thanks for your compliment, the guys that played this organ back then have been in touch with me, kind of neat

    DJRuff

  • Thanks for showing and sharing this organ. AA Allen and his ministry had a profound impact on my family and myself in the late fifties and early sixties. I have seen and heard David Davis play this Hammond many times. God Bless.

  • A Hammond organ takes a lot of skill to play and you do it so effortlessly. It sounds very good. I like it.

  • @orgnsnd

I thank you for your kind words, are you ready to do another song with me? Let me know.

    Dennis

  • The Richard Page we're talking about is the one from Jupiter, Florida. He's wearing a coat and tie...Also, go to Ed Hill tours.com. He and his wife Meredith operate the travel company that hosts tours of Israel...

  • Dennis, your playing here sounds a lot like David himself! Sounds great!

  • @stantheman260

Now that is a nice compliment, thank you, Sir

    Dennis J Ruff

  • You would like getting to know Richard Page over in Jupiter, Fl. He played the organ and piano for A. A. Allen from 1965 to June of 1970 when he died. He and David Davis would alternate playing the organ for the morning and afternoon services and Richard would usually play the piano and David the organ for the evening services. BTW, Richard is on Facebook.

  • Love everything about the way you play this song, Dennis! It's smooth, not choppy the way so many play, and the chord progressions are great too...also good use of the Leslie switch...Keep playing!

  • @stantheman260

Thank you for those kind words, I will keep playing for His Glory.

    Dennis

  • I remember seeing and hearing David Davis play this B-3 in about 1967 under the tent in Atlanta, Ga. I especially remember hearing him play "Oh Happy Day" by request for the offertory. This Hammond replaced the large white oak, self-contained concert model that is just like the RT-3 except that it has speakers in the console. In fact, that organ replaced the RT-3 that was especially designed for Jerry McKinney who was A. A. Allen's organist before David Davis.

  • @stantheman260

Wow, thank you so much for all that history, it makes it more meanful.

    Dennis

  • David, I am happy you played this organ for Evangelist A.A. Allen,. but most of all I know you play if for Jesus! That is who counts for me! Keep up the great work your doing! You labor and work of love will never go unnoticed ! Mark Miller Music4HimNow Ministry!

  • @Music4HimNow

Mark, hopefully you got my other message. This is me playing the Organ that David use to play. It is now down in a little Pentecostal Church in FLA where my wife's second cousin pastor's. It was such a blessing for me as It has been several years since I played for a church service. Hopefully it won't be the last, "Where He Leads Me I will Follow." Please pray for me that God will direct me.

    Dennis

Thank you for your support this year. Hope you and yours have a wonderful New Year.

    God Bless you all,

    Dennis

  • Wonderful, Bro. Dennis. Hammonds--when attached to a Leslie--most definitely have a distinct sound.

  • @fstanley35

You are right, and hard to imitate too.

    Dennis

  • DENNIS,

Great job, great song, nice organ. I have a question, what was you doing with your left hand when you was reaching to that side?? It looked like you was turning something am I right??

    5 stars and thumbs up.

    DARLENE

  • @deskyles If I am not mistaken He is turning the rotary speaker on/off or adjusting the speed.

  • @iwanapipeorgan

you are right, I always liked making those speakers spin, they are like trumpet speakers that rotate at different speeds as you use the switch.

    Dennis

  • @deskyles

    Hey Darlene,

Thank you for your support throughout the year, God Bless you and your Family.

Happy New Year to you all.

    Dennis

  • @Ccyawn123

Thank you and God Bless you.

    Dennis

  • Interesting bit of history. Still sounds great after all those years.

I was talking about Bro. Dennis.....not the organ....LOL!

  • @holinesspentecostal

oh, I thought you meant the Organ, this old body of mine is wearing fast but I will keep going as long as I can and as long as folks want to hear the Old Gospel songs. I love doing them and all for the Glory of God only.

    Dennis

  • @djruff39 Both you and the organ still sound great.......LOL!! Now I'm waiting for you to post a video of you singing "God's Not Dead" and dancing across the stage like Gene Martin.

  • @holinesspentecostal

I think I'll let you do that part, although I could do the dancing, not sure about the singing.

    DJR

  • thanks dennis . listening to it now . nice to hear from you again. what a great church song . never heard it before till now. wow. god has blessed you with this gift. praise him . hes probably rocking the heavens as you play. have a great 2012. pray for peace. hearing this music there will be someday. peace and gods love to you. regards polywog690 .

  • @polywog690

I thank you Brother for all your kind words, glad you are enjoying my music, it's all for the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    God Bless,

    Dennis

  • Thumbs up for Brother Allen and his organ player.

  • @joeestep76

Well, I am not sure I could qualify to be Brother Allens' Organist.

    DJR

  • Good job. It would have been nice to see Sharon standing next to you singing :)

    Maybe next time?

  • @Nexar41834

Thank you Bob, Maybe I can get her to sing it with my playing, don't know how to get her in the video though. What did you think of that Lil Camera my sister-in-law used, it was a Nikon Coolpix S-6000, I think I'm going to try and get me one, even the audio was good.

Hope you have a wonderful 2012, Happy New Year to you and the family,

    Your friend,

    Sharon & Dennis

  • @djruff39 It is a good camera. Have Sharon stand next to you, turn the organ down, and let her sing. It should come out fine.

  • @Nexar41834

Ok, I'll have to talk her into it but I'll see If I can do it a little later.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

  • @Nexar41834

Man, everytime I hear that Leslie it makes me wanna throw stones at my Lowrey although I do like the strings in the Lowrey. Blackhammond has been trying to talk me into one of his.

    DJR

  • @djruff39 To tell the truth, when you flipped the Lesley switch, I didn't hear that much of a change. Maybe because of the position of the camera, or my tin ear :). One could tell better if patched through the Tascam.

  • Lovely, Brother Dennis! I love it!

  • @dannivdmerwe

    Thank you my dear friend,

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU AND THE FAMILY,

    GOD BLESS YOU,

    Dennis & Sharon

  • Wonderful my friend. Happy New Year! God bless you all. Jim

  • @hasbeensinger

Thank you Jim, Happy New Year to you.

    God Bless,

    Dennis

  • Nothing like a Hammond Organ!!! Blessings!

  • @gospeltent2

You are so right, I still love them even though I have a Lowrey.

    Dennis

  • Enjoyed

  • @MrFlatroofer

    I thank you, God Bless,

    Dennis
