where'd you get your tires and how much? and what's your gearing? centrifical clutch? i'm trying to piece together a go kart with an old lawnmower and a 5hp tecumseh engine i was given. i'm going to weld my own frame. and i know tecumseh is awful but it was free. :D

when you run Jr. dragsters...they run a 5hp block but they run a blockzilla block(all billet alum) allot of money and many modifications later you have a killer engine

in junior- drag racing you start with a 5hp block ad do what ever you can to make it put out 45 hp :D

for sum reson in my engines i dont get the fuel quench i need from it i have takin the 4hp heads sounds dumb but i can explain later and the 5hp head and had a guy create a sand casting. Ok the point of it it that the 4hp head creates more comp. but you dont have room for the valves with the big cams so you cast sum of the 5hp disigns into it. plus i dont run a cluch with a bronze bearing

Hey im a professional when i comes to l heads i have 3 and a vintage mac 49 and i work at a shop every saturday and fix engines and that sort of stuff and the engine is idling very high u should tune it down and that will ruin your bronze bearing thats in that cluch and there very thin and where out from sudden stop when its idling at 1500

That Briggs sounds  awesome and the kart looks very nice. Is that a box stock flathead? I have a raptor II super stock, next summer I'll try to mount it in my kart again after several years of storage. Thanks for sharing.
