Players come back different after injuries sometimes, Orr's career was ended prematurely by his knee, After Lindros's concussion he was never the same, I can give tons of examples.

@cornboy111 Kovalev isn't the greatest of examples. In his case he had the talent to do things on his own, but didn't always work hard.

He scored 35 goals as a hab at 35 years of age playing with Plekanec and Kostitsyn, far cries from Lemieux and Jagr. He could have done things on his own, but lacked the heart to go with it.

However, counting on Cheechoo is definitely a gamble. His skating is below average, and he's very one dimensional. We'll just have to wait and see how well he works with Spezza.
