i am a responsible citizen. i don't make a video proclaiming unity and then bashing those of a different political party. i believe that is called hypocrisy.
I used to think Saul Anuzis was an alright guy. But it turns out he wants to silence debate and censor Rep. Ron Paul from appearing in further GOP debates because they disagree on proper foreign policy. Mr. Anuzius, I have been a Republican for about 20 years, and you do NOT speak for me. I support a Constitutional foreign policy, not perpetual war for perpetual peace. To suggest that Paul be shut out is shameful and arrogant. If what he is saying is so wrong, why can't you answer it?
One last point, the demise of our moral authority in the world. On 9/12 Le Monde's front page headline was "We are All Americans". Since then, polls show the "favorable opinion of the US" in most countries has dropped 20-30 points.
Then, of course, there's the ethical problems: politicization of DOJ, FDA, NASA, etc., K-Street, Cheney's WMD "intelligence" and other "dark side" mischief, wiretaps without oversight, denial of our most basic "inalienable right" -- habeas corpus, torture even of innocents, it's a long list and it's finally coming to light. See TPMMuckraker for more.
It's easy to borrow from your grandchildren and claim economic success. However, the size of government has grown, our deficits are massive, and wages are stagnant. The only sector of the country that is enjoying higher income is the top 1% tax bracket.
The 9/11 catastrophe struck while Clinton's urgent "Bin Laden Determined to Attack America" memo sat unread on Condi's desk. We fought Afghanistan on the cheap and let bin Laden slip away. Then we turned our attention to Iraq, which may or may not had WMD but was a) definitely no threat to the USA and b) as determined to keep al Qaeda outside of it's borders as we were. Meanwhile, Afghanistan slipped away and Iraq is a festering cesspool of human horror.
And we thought this was the worst Dems could say about American citizens and Soldiers...

You had 4+ years to make America prosperous and strong. Great job guys. Now go sit on the sidelines and let the grownups clean up your mess.
