@amtrak939 Actually, They were commonly used by NJ Transit. They are made by Bombardier, but they are Comet I and Comet II cars. You can tell these were purchased by SEPTA by the grey Window Stripe. Some of SEPTA's Comets are "donated" from NJ Transit and have a Black Window stripe and a SEPTA decal over the old NJ Transit Bar. Because they are push-pull, there are only few of them that operate only on Express Lines.
I live along the Amtrak/NJT and R7 lines.... The last time I saw a train like this one was YEARS ago, but I know it was like a bolt of lightning on the track.
Are you sure it's not 9340?

What are those push-pull cars called?
RAILTECHCHASER 1 year ago
@RAILTECHCHASER they don't really have a specific name I don't think but they're made by bombardier, so they're somtimes called "bomber sets"

@RAILTECHCHASER Shoreliners or Comets. SEPTA is acuallly more closer to their Metro North Cusins so they're like Bombardier Shoreliners.

@ThaExpress2609 I agree with that because the door closing chimes sound just like Metro-North's Shoreliners.

@RAILTECHCHASER They're called Comet IIs.
