Great demo on how to put solar panels together,what i do when i solder, is i have a fan running to blow the lead and flux fumes away for me! stop breathing them in,they lower IQ,the lead does ,not shure what long turm affects of breathing flux in is?
I personally would not use any clips on any cell to hold the solder wire, the less handling the better, you are just asking them to brake. You should solder all of the fronts or backs first and then flip them all and solder the other side without bending the fragile solder ribbon out of your way which could cause it to weaken and brake
I watch a video today and they use this stuff called skyguard 184 to hold the cell and it protects the electronics too. He makes aluminum frames and they have some special glass which is call low iron glass used on real solar panels. Watch your videos just wanted to give you heads up. If you want to watch his 3 videos type in solar panel frames look for mark something.
hey very helping video......listen i was wondering if you could tell me something....ok right now i just started thinking of making a solar panel and I just bought some solar cells on ebay..just (10)...but i dont have anything to measure the nergy and check if the cells are good...but do you think i can power up a 5 watt bulb(from my car)? I have 1.75 watt cells so I thought if I take 3 it will make 5.25 watts...ill really apprecite it if you could please help me......thanks
