  • pour moi ce sont les grands gagnants, ce groupe est une véritable révélation , j' espère que nous aurons encore l'occasion de les savourer

  • Best friend is Italian. <3 I myself am Romanian.

  • 12 points from Holland!

  • This guy and the solo in this song inspired me to learn to play piano. Totally deserved 2nd place in my opinon.

  • Great song. Congratulations Italia. I want to come back Raphael Gualazzi in 2013!

  • This is so good! All the other eurovision songs were really bad, but this one is my favorite! It's actually enjoyable to listen to, and it's so cool too! It's got like jazz in there, some French style, and Italian of course.

  • Goood

  • Loved both Italy and Hungary performances! Great voices! Awesome songs!

  • I'm proud to be half Italian :)

  • @NyehKat I'm proud to be italian! =D This is the real italian music!

  • love it.

  • 49 bieber fans

  • 49 people don't understand what real music is ;D

  • this song is so chill

  • Amazing comeback, Italy!

    Greetings from Lithuania! :)

  • Italy was awesome, seriously!

They haven't been in for years, and they come in with this jazzcat. THEY should have won, not the ones that actually did. I listened to the winners song and was like 'meh'

    THIS SONG HAS EMOTION.

    EMOOOOTTIIIOOOOOONNNAALLLLIIITTYYYY WIIIIIINNNNN~

Or, in the words of Charlie Sheen - WINNING.

  • that song learnt me italian

  • Splenderai~!

  • TRUMPET, BARI SAX AND GLASS PIANO.

    WINNING

    Or, 2nd place.

  • This song would have won the Eurovision according to the old rules... But it sounds much more American than European and it doesn't sound Italian at all! This song doesn't represent Italian music. Was he thinking that he was going to give a show in Las Vegas?

  • Does anyone else think Italy just got votes out of sympathy?I thought this was horrible to listen to.Moldova was best by far (:

  • @Seamus8080028 I agree

  • best song this year, with songs like this, hopefully we get to see Italy again in Eurovision on a regular basis

  • He looks sympathetic =3

  • Is it only me who thinks that the singer tone on: 1:06 and 1:46 sounds very funny? xD

Thumbs up if you thinks like me ;p

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

  • people who call this boring just dont understand the difference between listening to real music and dancing to the shit blown out of speakers. personally i think music isnt about being entertained with noise, but focusing on the pure sound. im 15 and this is going straight on my ipod

  • 12 points from Hollanda fot Italia! Love this song!

  • ı dont like it its awful bosnia was 2nd

  • this should have been the winner! best song, and best voice ever!

  • 43 people don't stand music.

  • sounds like something from a disney cartoon movie

  • very very very good song. I like it that there's a country that dares to send in something jazzy. Cool.

  • The Eurovision songcontest is all about voting for your neighbor, sad but true.

  • @fafakuk No it is about voting for your own country

  • @fafakuk there aren't many neighbours that voted Italy but San Marino :)

During the final evening, our "expert" in the TV studio with Raffaella Carra had said (it's a funny joke, of course): "If they don' t give us 12 points we will invade San Marino". Narrow escape! :)

  • viva italy..12 points from Turkey

  • Loveee!! Italyy!! That's pure jazz! DELICIOUS!

  • the "singer" is foolish

  • 2 place) Nicee

  • so nicee...cong. from turkey..you should win..

  • eurovision o.O this is neighbourvision

  • this is HORRIBLE!!! is THIS better than Sweden? NO WAY!!!!

  • @AnneBoleyn96 I thought Eric Saade would win ESC... Well, italian song is not bad, it's only different kind of music. Pop VS jazz --> almost rare to see in ESC

  • That's why must must be Italy in Eurovision. This is an amazing song written in the most beautiful language of the world!

  • grande canzone.

  • hmmm...

amazing piano skillz, unique voice, good band and most of all a great song with a fantastic ending.

even though italy came 2nd they are the winners in the eyes of the people of europe that understand music and not to bloc voters.

    <3

  • Cooollll !!! What a class and what a refined song , unbelievably robbed of a undoubtful victory ( the story of ever x Italy at the ESC trash ) !!

    Stunning performance

...... and to think that this little masterpiece passed the sweden's ridiculous, awful, stupid and rubbishy piece of garbage only at last voting .....!! ;-)

That says enough of the overall ignorance , bad taste and clueless attitude about music by british & scandinavian countries ....!!

  • great song!!!! really professionals musicians!!!!

  • great song!!!! really like!!!! really professionals!

  • his piano playing skills are a-m-a-z-i-n-g and singing at the same time

  • his piano playing skills are a-m-a-z-i-n-g

  • I image, listening to the song, Rome with Trevi's Fountain, Costantin's Arch, Colosseum, Trajan Forum, Pantheon, Navona Square, Spain Square, People Square, St Angel Castle, Vatican City, Parks, Ara Pacis, Imperial Fores, Mouth of Truth, St Peter , St Jhon in Lateran , Fountains fountains fontains Churches churches churches ......and so on...... W Rome!!!

  • Enchanting, delightful, lovely Italian song!!!

The best interpretation of ESC. This song is different from the standardization of the other states!!!He 's an artist of soul not a common commercial singer!!! 1stplace.

  • he is absolutely fantastic!!!

  • Absolute SHIT. If thats the best Italy can show Europe,, stay away another 13yrs

  • @fustyans You don't understand anything about music. Go to listen to your "fantastic" Kylie Minogue, Imbruglia&co. And next time you mention "Raphael Gualazzi", please disinfect your mouth and ears, you're undeserving of such a masterpiece.

  • @fustyans - A re-iterate, Stay away another 13yrs!!!! It was awesome to see Raffaella Carra giving the votes though :-)

  • @fustyans once again : close your kid's moust , brainless & clueless troll , go post your trolling shit in some video else where the Euroshitvision suites all the crap of Euro rubbish !!

Italy made EBU a favor in accepting to come back since BBC , Antenne 2 , TVE and ARD can't affor longer the costs of this shitty so called song contest and nobody in Italy is interested in this ridiculous & pathetic event x badtasty dogs ......;-) !!

    ESC trash

  • exceptional.. it's great that italy returned

  • too good for eurovision

  • @1:47 ... so good

  • GREAT SONG 12 POINTS FROM ISRAEL

  • It was worth a comeback for Italy! CONGRATULATIONS!

  • This was BY FAR the best song, performance and singing in the whole contest. This guy blew all others away. I cannot (CANNOT) understand why he did not win. This was the only song that was fresh (except for moldova, kudos to them) in terms of not sounding like 99 other songs that play on the radio everyday. AND it was one of the few that wasn't copy and paste from others. I'm talking Denmark for example (listen to "in any other world" from Mika, it's basicly the same song.

  • I LOVE ITALY!!!!

  • nice, so many nice songs this year...

  • 13 Points from Chuck Norris!!!

  • @maestrosVIP ahahaha!

  • @maestrosVIP Ahahah... fantastic! :D Chuck Norris can smash Eurovision Song Contest. And he can win it with more than 1000 points. Making all others with no points.

    Raphael, We're Proud of You!

  • @DiabloRoma exactly!!! :D

  • Italia VICTRIX!!!! This was the only truly original song (well maybe Moldova also). italia e arte.

  • his voice...perfect!ITALY the WINNER

  • it has that 20's, 30's feeling ... i'm imagining myself in a jazz club ... smoking a cigarette, drinking a good glass of wine, watching the piano man from my table ... :)

  • last year turkey was the best but 2nd place.....this year italy was the best and again 2nd place.....so I'm not so sure that in eurovision is all by rules.....italy song this year was too good for eurovision for those who wants to LISTEN not to WATCH music.....regards from serbia

  • @miklomaja Totally agree. U know last year's my favorite was also Turkey as this year's favorite was Italy. It's a pity that best music is not awarded in Europe as needed. regards from Armenia.

  • @miklomaja Lepo si im reko Serbine! :)

  • @miklomaja fully agreed!!

  • @miklomaja Gosh !! someone is being normal !! :D...everybody is saying that eric saade shuold have have won what that gayish song -.-' and whenn he broke the glass S H O W O F F !! Raphael Forever <3..Come on he got a much better voice <3

  • I don't know what he's singing but it sounds sexy.

  • im in love with this song :)

  • Grandissimo Raphael. Ma come ha fatto a vincere l'Azerbaijan? La giuria è impazzita! forse vorrebbero solo visitare l'Azerbaijan il prossimo maggio...

    translation from Italian...

Great Raphael, but how the hell Azerbaijan won? Judges got insane and crazy. Maybe they wanted to visit Azerbaijan next may 2012

  • I would've backed this to win any other day of the week if it didn't have to compete with the Moldovan entry.

    :P

  • Grande Raphael!!!!! ;D ;D Sei fantastico!!! (Wow Raphael,,,you are Amazing!!!)

  • Amaizing.... I wanna go to Italy this summer!

    They are my winners!

  • @Yolity yes, come to Italy, you should drink a glass of my wine on the balcony, looking at the sea, under a white moon, even if i am not a wolf... ;-) and Gualazzi on the player...

  • Comment removed

  • 2:32 - 3:08 is my favourite :D

  • definately deserved to win.. besides being the best song by far (not the usual meaningless crap we've gotten used to in the eurovision), he wrote and composed this piece; has a great voice full of character and is an insanely good pianist.. what more do u want!?

  • this should won, not stupid Azerbaijan .......

  • i love italie (L) this song must win the eurovision!! azerb was very bad.. grusse aus the netherlands

  • this should have won eurovision!!!!

  • Azerbaijan the best.and this music good;_)next year evrybody Welcome Azerbaijan

  • best esc song 2011, 2010,2009,2008 etc etc

  • watch?v=MxUUPDIUiYk&feature=related

  • I like this song! Greetz from Holland

  • now that italy is back to eurovision,we will hear songs of a better quality. besides, italian music is one of the best in the world!

  • Graham Norton, who did the commentary for the BBC broadcast, was very surprised that this song did so well. I wasn't. I liked it as soon as I first heard it. I'm pleased it took second place. Welcome back to Eurovision, Italy!

  • I loved this song as soon as I heard it in Sanremo, he deserved that second place, I was really surprised to see it on top. I love the music, not trash like most of the others! congrats Italy!

  • He was really good , nice jazzy song !

  • il migliore... un'altro pianeta :)

  • un grandissimo risultato! Bravissimo Raphael !!

E comunque era davvero la miglior canzone in gara!

  • CERTO CHE NEL NORD EUROPA VI RODE IL CULO E ALLA GRANDE!

  • @ComoEstas15

    yes...

  • The song was good but he ruined it at some point with his voice. It totally did not deserve the second place! We sucked you good time Italians.

  • @himela81 "ruined with his voice"?!?! I think you don't know anything about jazz. Oh my God...Go to listen to Lady Gaga, Rihanna or Tokyo Hotel. Good luck.

  • @GiallaVelatura If I think his voice was kind of bad at some point of the song doesn't mean I listen to lady gaga mate. I'm just saying my opinion, you don't have to insult me.

  • @himela81 It was not an insult. I never insult anyone, especially if we talk about art. I've studied music at the conservatory, that's why for me it's hard to stand people who wrote something bad about this young genious. He's a great pianist and great musician. Of course you're free to like or dislike him and his style. Of course he doesn't have the Bocelli's or Ray Charles' voice, but in jazz his voice is just perfect. Hugs.

  • @GiallaVelatura I never said I did not like his voice! I just said at some point of the song he lost it, maybe it was from his passion. I can understand he has got talent.

  • did anyone notice that this guy: wrote, arranged, played and singed the song?? Did the other singers do the same? I personally think that if he had a better English accent...he could have win..

by the way... the voice was perfect....

  • Seriously, the voting in Eurovision has always been a joke, but usually the top 3 is pretty spot on. But this year! How did this song get 2nd place - the guy sounds like a dying cat!

  • @DaCrux78 Dear, you need to learn what real music is. Otherwise, enjoy your Kilye Minogue

  • @GiallaVelatura Dude, I don't listen to Kylie Minogue. My preferences lie at the other end of the music spectrum. I do know what real music is - I was commenting about his voice - which was flat, boring, off key and really squawky at the end. You can't see it because you're Italian.

  • @DaCrux78 Dear, you're funny :) You wanna teach me about what a good voice is...me, born in the country of Pavarotti, Bocelli and opera...:))) If you mean that he's not Ray Charles, I agree. If you mean that he's voice is not comparable to the one of Sam Cooke or Michal Bublé, I agree. But if you consider his full performance, including music, virtuosism in piano, style, band, no-lasers and stupid ballets... he was absolutely the best. He'll survive this Eurofestival, 99%of other singers, nope.

  • @GiallaVelatura So what you're saying is that he's no Ray Charles, Sam Cooke or Michael Buble.... so we do actually agree on something

  • @DaCrux78 The fact that he's Italian, it doesn't prevent me to be honest in judging. For example, Eros Ramazzotti is Italian, but I absolutely dislike him, and especially his voice. I'm not nationalist about art (even if I can, as in general there's no place in the world rich in art as my country). Raphael's voice is not like the one of Ray Charles and Sam Cooke, but he plays piano in a wonderful way, hard to find someone better. He was too good for this Eurofestival, a giant between dwarfs.

  • @GiallaVelatura I'm not Italian but I actually like Eros Ramazzotti - at least his voice has character

  • @DaCrux78 You like Ramazzotti?, Well, what to say...as ancient Latins said, "De gustibus non disputandum est" :))) P.s. Take a look to this (he's Italian as well, even if he sings in English). w w w .youtube.com/watch?v=5IzccDy94Zg&feature=related

  • @GiallaVelatura that link doesn't work

  • @DaCrux78 To make it work, delete spaces (3) between w w w . I had to write it this way, otherwise it was impossible to post it, I don't know why.

  • @GiallaVelatura nope, doesn't work - just takes me to a page with random recommended videos

  • @DaCrux78 Ok, then search for this: Mario Biondi "This Is What You Are"

  • @GiallaVelatura see now that's a smooth, funky voice :)

  • @DaCrux78 Ciao DaCrux, I need your help :) Please search for: "Note di Copertina 002 - Raphael Gualazzi". He's singing a playing in a jam session with his friends, it was about 5-6 years ago, he looks so young and of course nobody knew him. They are playing and singing a cover of a wonderful jazz song, but I can't get the title. Please help me to understand what he's saying in the refrain: "smoking...."??????? Thank you in advance.

  • It is very tough to understand that how such a boring song became 2nd... Italia would be said to have an influential position at Eurovision and in Europe. :)

  • @teorock91 DO you think Azerbaijian has "an influential position at Eurovision and in Europe"? You must be born in Zimbabwe man

  • @Debestcioiseva First of all, PLEASE forget your being an Italian and let me forget my being a Turkish. Comparing Italia and Azerbaijan would have been your primary mistake, here don't think only for Eurovision. Azerbaijan's song is better than Italia's even it didn't pretty much deserve to win. Even though such matters are relative, I cannot find anything at Italia's song such that they took 2nd place. Something else could be why Italia has become so successful returning after 14 years.

  • Zajebisty glos, amazing voice.

He should be the winner not fucking azejberdzan. Shut up sweedish people your song was one of the worst,

  • Tremendo me encanto la cancion

  • Sweden would have never had "the balls" to send a song like this!

  • The song is amazing and the introduction rocks...Real winner! Greetings from greece!

  • It's funny seeing all those comments supporting that Swedish 'song' and dissing this one saying it didn't deserve to be 2nd!??You guys are ones to talk! I'm mean "popular" seriously ??! LMFAO that Was one of the most hilariously craptastic songs in the final, I though he was taking the piss !

"..I will be popular...I will be popular" err desperate much??

(btw no offence to Swedish people intended! it's just that your song was utter crap ,,thatsall!)

  • @cadburymonkey I'm tottaly agree. It's just stupip to compare this song with the swedish. Italy should have won and the contest take part at 2012 in Rome!

  • I love how he can make his voice sound like the saxaphone (:

  • @signingupfornothing
