  • 99% of the time she only uses fresh fruit for a fricking garnish...If you eat it, it's got to be pre-cut or canned fruit!

  • Those sticks could be dangerous for small children. The'll want to eat the fruit off the sticks and might accidentally poke their throats.

  • Should the vanilla yogurt be that runny?

  • im surprised the cantaloupe wasn't store peeled

  • I don't get why people think pre-cut fruit is any different from buying a whole fruit and then cutting it... isn't that just unnecessary? o_O Or do you people grow your own fruits too? Unfortunately not everyone can afford to maintain such a thing. I actually appreciate her recipes. They're always within budget.

  • Sandra Lee is the whitest ghetto bitch I've ever seen.

  • Oh I dunno Sandra, using a whole slice of strawberry to garnish the dip may be a bit much...

  • Why does eevrything have to be "simple?" I watch cooking shows to see people do things I've never seen, not to watch a woman pour honey into a hollowed out melon.

  • sucker bitches

  • I'm addicted to shit-talking this woman (and frankly, this overly elaborate monstrosity looks ridiculous) but I'm glad she made something healthy for a change. Certainly beats serving the kids hotdogs wrapped in bacon!

  • It looks so pretty and delicious!!

  • Pre- cut fruit.

    I love you Sandra.

  • @Michelle2815CV im just proud she cut the the cantaloupe

  • R those strawberriee washed????????

  • she didint make sandwiches

  • @funfun223lol different video

  • if thats her kitchen she must love pink alot lol she looks and reminds me of barbie

  • How do u no if the kids r going to " LOVE" them????

  • hahahaa, i only watch these for the comments, and of couse to , you know...make fun of her hahahaha!

  • @windhowl22 wow, get a life

  • PRECUT FRUIT? LAZY BITCH

  • Yeah, a picture of SHIT!

  • Looks like a healthy version of her Kwanzaa cake.

  • I hated fruit as a kid. The only thing I would have eaten on that fruit want is the "Stawburries"

  • You know that in suggesting "two drops of red food coloring," she really means "two cups of red wine."

  • does this woman own measuring cups or....?

  • I wonder what Gordon Ramsay would say to her .

  • It wouldnve been hilarious if she accedently slid the platter on the floor hahahah

  • @3:02 it looks like a peacock

  • Where's the sandwich!!!!!!!

  • Doesn't she knows to pull up her sleeves up!!!!???

  • I can just imagine her dragging those poofy sleeves through everything she's cooking

  • WAIT! um did she even wash those strawberries? it does not look that way...

  • now what would happen if sandra's dear food store stopped selling pre-cut fruit?

  • i'm sorry is this COOKING?! does anyone in food network realize what she's doing? she's sticking pre-cut fruit into a stick and making some sugary dip!

  • vanilla yoghurt is already sweetened

  • the fruit wands look ridiculous...and who leaves the leaves on the strawberry?????

  • She needs to fucking learn to garnish

  • Wow I didn't think I would see anyone using fruit from a box on a cooking show. Although there really wasn't any cooking involved. What the hell is this?

  • I love how all of you say "why does she use so much pre-cut items?" Her shtick is Semi-homemade!!!! She attracts the people who dont have time but still want to eat decent food. She is not a chef and she has never called herself one so dont expect emulsions, reductions, or some intricate way of doing something. Some People dont eat good food now because it takes too long. She is targeting them and she does a on par job.

  • @surrency1992 I understand that for... like... dinners, maybe? For instance, busy moms sometimes need to ship their kids around after school and don't have a lot of time. But here, Miss Lee is preparing for a PARTY. Generally people have TIME when they prepare for events larger than family meals.

  • @surrency1992 I get that its meant to basically be a show on short cuts but the title is semi homemade, meaning HALF homemade.Everything she does bought.Even her frosting.Opening a can of frosting and putting vanilla in it doesnt make it homemade. How hard is it to put butter, icing sugar, vanilla and water in a bowl to make frosting? And if you wanna go all out just add a tablespoon of cocoa powder. That would actually be cheaper than buying store bought frosting and would take less than 5 minutes.

  • @krissf I agree it is easier and cheaper than buying store bought and tastes a hell of a lot better. Her show is a mockery for us who love to cook and want people to do the same. Some people just don't have the time or don't want to go all out. The only reason she got a show on food network is because of her ex-husband. I think i could don a better semi-homemade than her, Hell a lot of us could do it better than Sandra Lee.

  • She's right about one thing for once, honey is the only food that will never go bad :P

But otherwise this is just another completely pointless thing to learn from someone who freaks out when her store doesn't have 'pre-washed pre-cut mushrooms' -.-

  • Oh my god she actually peeled the cantalope, she didn't buy it! Great job Sandra Lee! lol

  • SHE DIDN'T WASH THE STRAWBERRY'S WHAT THE FUCK.

  • couldnt she have cut the fruit herself? and who is going to eat that cantaloupe? it will dry out and be gross. the 'wands' are pretty though

  • i don't believe that she peeled a cantaloupe

  • sandra , have you ever think that cuting fruit don't take that long ? you always use pree cut stuff !

  • this counts as cooking?

  • "...already pre-cut." Redundant.

  • She has figured out a way to ruin fresh fruit.

  • Unwashed, pre-chopped fruit....on top of a fruit?

I swear, this tacky bitch isn't even trying anymore......

  • Is she wearing the curtains?!

  • Oh god...why leave the leaves on the strawberries? Some kids dont know that the leaves are not really edible without consequences.

  • You may as well just go buy Edible Arrangements to save time.

  • EASY there! You're starting to sweat already..

  • I'm still waiting for the episode where she tells us that by mixing Spam and Ramen together you can get a soooooo dellllllllllllicious meal!

  • @cupicaik125 Its SUPER SUPER SIMPLE!

  • @cupicaik125

That actually sounds more delicious than half the crap she has already made.

  • im surprise there is no alcohol in this recipe.

  • ew pink dip

  • i like how she dose evere thing

  • I have to admit, it does look beautiful but I wish she could've cut her own fruit for the kebabs.

  • I agree some of the comments are too nasty, but nothing wrong with criticizing her methods. Most of what she does is very unhealthy. I don't think she's doing any favors by showing busy moms how to assemble garbage.

  • if you have nothing good to say about her dont say anything at all. no one told you to watch her fucking videos. get a life

  • people, she didnt waste it, when the fruit wands r gone, it cn still b eaten.

  • Sandra Lee is a perfect example of the prevalence of laziness and pretentiousness in modern America.

  • @rkmugen sitting around trying to making profound statements about a cooking video. way to go man

  • @rkmugen she's actually more of a throwback to Peg Bracken, who wrote the "I hate to cook book" . Peg's Matt Groening's (The Simpsons) Mother LOL

  • Listen people, she's just showing us creative ways to better present fruit. The only thing I would do differently is not use the melon half as a bowl and use other fruit to put around the fruit wands like banana slices, blueberries, etc.

  • @PrincessMultiracial But she's supposed to teach us how to make dishes, not to assemble fruit.

  • she washed the fruit rightt?.

  • honey dip? you mean yogurt with honey in it? wow, i guess anyone can have their own show now.

  • Who are these elusive kids she keeps talking about?

  • Doesnt the fruit come presliced

  • damn i want that wasted melon right now...i'm sure u coulda put ur sticks in something else miss lady!

but that honey dip sounds amazing!

  • Vanilla yogurt already has about 8 grams of sugar in it. I don't think it's a terribly good idea to ADD sugar to it...Just plain vanilla yogurt would be tasty enough.

  • yea thats pretty natural honey. straight from the bottle

  • A little bit of fruit around the plate.

  • How can she say that the cantaloupe is pretty! It's just a stupid melon! She must be lazy to cut her own fruits

  • all this bitch does to decorate.. she buys entire isles of iparty and calls it beautiful

  • She even has to poison the poor kids with her so called honey dip.

  • I did this!! And she aint wasting the fruit she will eat it later! Cuzs dats what I did!! Stop hating ppl!!

  • @sweetnessnbk all of her nasty comments are so uncalled for, LISTEN PEOPLE, ITS CALLED SEMI HOME MADE COOKING!!!!!

  • @newyawker78 Yeah it 's CALLED semi-homemade, but what it is is badly done fake cooking using DISGUSTING ingredients. Look, if you don't like to cook, hire a dinner service - there are chefs out there who will grocery shop and deliver a set amount of meals per week for a very reasonable rate, not as cheap as from scratch but the quality will be good and it can be healthy. Or if you want to cook but are too busy, buy precut produce and meats and stir-fry them. What Sandra Lee does is NOT FOOD.

  • Honesty I don't think she's wasting the Cantaloupe I mean for us asians or where I'm from...we eat everything afterward. I mean it is edible idk about anyone else though. Just saying and truthfully this one thing that she made isn't so bad but somehow someone found something wrong with it....I mean this compare to everything else oh sheesh this is great.

  • I dunno, the honey dip itself isn't so bad. Simple, but not horrible. But... wasting an entire cantaloupe and not even bothering to cut your own fruit? What the hell. : / "I care so much about making your birthday party good that I use nasty pre-cut fruit that has probably been doused in preservatives to keep them from turning brown and waste entire melons! I love you so much." Seems off somehow.

  • 0:45 How bad is it that I half expected her to say vanilla vodka

  • .....I would love for her to handle my fruit wand...

  • Nice melons.

  • "It's a natural sweetener" - um, so is normal sugar... Also, why is she wearing lacy curtains?

  • @AceofHadeon she means that honey is an unprocessed sugar whereas white sugar is called refined sugar because it has been processed over and over

  • Honey instead of sugar because it's natural? Since when has Sandra Lee cared about eating healthy, natural foods?

  • I wonder who she had to sleep with to get her own show? lol!

  • @SkyrocketStudiosMEP The Governor of New York, actually.

  • @lucash2006 I like Cuomo, but how can he be trusted to make ANY good decisions after this?

  • she says starburry

  • .................and this mess has two cooking shows ?

    Unfreakingbelievable !!

  • fruit wands? fruit wands?? FRUIT WANDS.

    god this show is depressing.

  • Wow. Honey and yoghurt? That's creative. I'm sure the Greeks don't mind aunt Sandy taking credit for the dessert they invented - oh I don't know - a few HUNDRED YEARS ago.

  • easy , honey dip in a bowl and wands on the plate . no wasting any melon or wateva .

  • i dunno about you guys but i really wanna set fire to that kitchen..and watch it burn o.O

  • i'mma garnish with a slice of strawberry

  • Wow too much pink, that's a mental stability issue ,isn't it?

  • there is no where to grab those.

wait, does she actually NOT want us to eat them? How... considerate.

no it's probably an oversight nevermind

  • There was something very wrong with that yoghurt.

  • why would the green leaves still be on the wands.........

  • every cook waste food, watch the other shows on the food network channel, also other other food networks stars make alcohol drinks too

  • @PaperDollCorpse13

I bet they don't take as much for liberal taste testings tho.

  • Wow. She's getting paid to put fruit on a stick... Nice.

  • What is everyone's problem??

  • I love how her Money Saving Meals show is the complete opposite of her Semi Homemade crap. She just wasted a whole melon just to put sticks and over sweetened yogurt in. Also, she could of saved money by cutting the fruit herself. She didn't even cut off the leafy end on the strawberry. it's not that hard.

  • @AmyRose16 I've noticed that too! I wonder if she was getting complaints about her Semi Homemade show being too pricey and that's why the The Food Network made her make the money saving show

  • @AmyRose16 All of the above is completely true. However, You will eat the melon afterwards....

  • hey at least cut em fruits by youself!!!

  • I HATE HONEY!

  • i don't think I would actually call this a recipe... more like ... putting honey into yogurt.

  • ''You gotta stick them right into the meat of the melon otherwise they will fall and you will not be..............happy.''

To be honest i wouldn't be that unhappy as they look crap.

  • she forgot that some kids hate almost 80% of the fruit

  • she probably poured vodka into that honey dip when they weren't lookin

  • "Wherever they have the salad bars precut" WTF?

  • Hooray for phallic shaped kids snacks!!!

  • @SAPPHO You do know that probably after she uses the honey dip, they could eat the canalope?. lol

  • I read that honey is a refined sweetener, so it doesn't matter if she put sugar in the yogurt or not.

  • i bet her pussy smell so good and yummy hmhmm

  • OMFG. she doesn't even cut her own fruit!!??? I almost died when I saw it was precut! what a wasteful moronic human being

  • Comment removed

  • you peope will find the most idiotic things to bitch about. Why don't you all go watch that fake rachael ray

  • @Irisheyescu2 Rachael Ray at least makes food that doesn't give women diabetes.

  • @Irisheyescu2 I think they both should get into a drunk driving accident.

  • @Irisheyescu2 Because Sandrunk Lee is even faker :D we're talking about a trainwreck competiton here, and Lee wins.

  • Why does her outfit always match her kitchen? It drives me crazy...

  • @greenlife7 that is part of her allure

  • wow she doesnt know how to cut her own fruit...

  • @immapplepie uuummmm i think most people can cut fruit her show is called semi-homeade so most of her ingredients are store bought and it would be easier/cheaper for the average house mom to just buy a box of fruit than to buy each indiviual fruit and cut them

  • her sleeves annoy me..

  • Why the hell would you wear sleeves like that for cooking??

  • because sugar is an artificial sweetener?

  • wtf is this she wasted a whole melon.

  • Wow. cut your own fruit.

  • Why must she put dips and fillings into God-given, naturally occurring orifices on food!!!! NO DIPS IN THE MELON!!!

  • wood is a noun wooden is the adjective..

  • vanilla yogurt is already really sweet, adding honey to the sweetened yogurt will become more sweet. She for one does not really care about her nieces and friends health. She really only cares that her recipes are easy and finished less than 30 minutes. I dont get it, if the show is semi-homemade, then shouldnt she pour the vanilla yogurt directly from the container

  • BARF loathe Sandra Lee. Surprised she didn't make a yoghurt cocktail, dumb fuck.

  • I guess buying fruit and dicing it herself would be too homemade for her style

  • i should stab her with her fruit wands!

  • she wears the same shirt for her vids and her vids are the worst

  • this women is wierd!!

  • im getting hungry for fruit now

  • ... can't she just cut up the diced fruits herself instead of spending money to BUY diced fruits?

  • Oh dear god, I can see eyes poked out already lmao

  • thats cool

  • cool

  • Gag! There is natural sugar in the fruit, sugar in the vanilla yogurt and sugar in the honey. Use the cantaloupe as a bowl? You waste the cantaloupe. Weird.

  • @tibrotibroprokk There is no sugar in honey... unless you're buying some shit brand that dilutes the honey with sugar. Quality honey does not have sugar.

  • @KWalsh554 There is glucose and fructose in granular sugar and honey. Honey has the same effect on your body as granular sugar.

  • @KWalsh554 Honey is made mostly of sugar, hun. That's why it's as sweet as sugar.

  • Why did she waste the entire melon?

Why not dice up the melon and put it and all the fruit in different bowls and the yogurt dip in another bowl. Then give each of the kids a toothpick rather then a skewer. That way they won't double dip, they get to pick the fruit they want, and you're not wasting like half the food.

She said that she liked honey because it was a natural sweetener. Since when is sugar not natural?

  • @cb52211

    lmaoo xD

  • It may look nice, but that is gonna be one mess to clean.

  • I don't know whats more disturbing; this crazy bitch or the fact some of you actually take her seriously

  • How are the kids suppose to take the wands out?

  • those are not very well constructed. i can see mass mulitple dippings and sticky hands.

i just don't understand why she wasted a whole cantalope. i mean, she could have just cut up the fruit and maybe stuck them on toothpicks. i would'nt want to stand around with a stick full of drippy fruit

  • bleghhh...putting more sugar into already oversweetened vanilla yogurt? And honey has 20 calories per teaspoon to 15 for sugar; its not healthier than plain sugar.

  • Putting fruits on sticks.

    ...really?

  • pre-cut fruit, wtf?! why bother making them at all, you could just buy finished ones, it probably wouldn't cost more

  • yumm i am gonna make this

  • She used honey because it's liqid and if she used sugar it would have had sugar sand in it and it would have a horrible texture.

  • Well, that doesn't matter if you actually blend the sugar correctly you know.

  • Her letter from Hogwarts obviously never came.

  • Kebabs... where are the wands?

i was hoping for some type of Harry Potter Fun...
