After Effects: Making a texture 'stick' to animating text

Can u pleeeeease help me....

I have problem with tekstures on animated cherecters. This tutorial is for the text, but I need textures on 2D characters in after effects...

I´ve tried with set matte but then textures get expelled from the position...

If I use Toggle switch/mode, it just didnt work neither - i need image sequence of animated character CLEAR, with low opacity texture in alpha channel of the character...

@petenicezz After you've pre-comped the text and the texture, you can make the precomp a 3D layer.

Ok. But how do you make texture stick to text if you animate text using animator options within text? Like if you want ti animate per character?

Press the circle thing that has a blur on the bottom right of after effects then press the OTHER circle thingy to activate it

hey i know a short cut to what you did, its pre-comp-ing the 2 layers, just select the text and the texture picture then just hit ctrl+shift+C

go into the project panel (top left, where all your assets are listed), click on the one you want to rename and press return on the main part of the keyboard, not on the numpad.
