Yeah, they open the doors, & drive the fire apparatus out many times a day. If you think it is to harrass you, go back to Uranus where you came from. To respond to people's calls for help, they need to take their engines, trucks and equipment with them?? It's the better idea. Those rigs cost lots of money, and NYC wants them, & the firefighters who man them, where the people are screaming for help.
