@jeffreypiket If you see Conviction as a separate game in the series, then it's an awesome game, i agree. But since Double Agent, the series has withdrawn from it's core mechanics of stealth and infiltration. Now it has become more of an action game.

If Ubisoft is going to work on a new SC, my opinion is that they need to go back to the core and reboot the series. Hardcore stealth and infiltration. Like SC3, which was the best SC imo. Conviction should be the end of Sam Fisher.

yeah Ubisoft should take Splinter Cell to what it was with Chaos Theory.

Get rid of Sam fisher i would say (He is really one of the coolest videogame characters, but he is getting old) and create a new character and a new storyline. And make the game all about stealth and infiltration again and not about some lame-ass undercover trust system.

I know conviction is going to be great at what it is going to do, but to me, the "old-school" hardcore infiltration levels of chaos theory where the best

Of course not a complete co op based games, The Single player in SC has always immersed me.

But I'd love to see 10 or 12 co op missions with the old splinter cell 1 type style of mission -infiltration/mission/extracti­on (Infiltrating the oilrig for example.) then have those mission tie into the single player missions.

Or taking place in the same area/time : Shadownet disables power in Co-op then moves to next objective, In SP Sam waits for power outage then infiltraits base, etc etc.

They already did that in the Seoul mission. That's where Sam Fisher interrogates a guard for intel about the whereabouts of some guy the co op guys must capture.

But if they put more of those moments in the game, it would be great, especially with the kind of humor that is used (Splinter Cell's not knowing wether they are the first Splinter Cell or not, and the discussions they have on that topic, it was hilarious)

chaos theory is definitly better than double agent. i wish double agent had some crazy-ass stealth missions like kokubo soshu! instead its just about some lame-ass terrorist organization and some really see through "trust sytem" still a good game though, but not worthy of a 9.9 like Chaos theory got in OXM
