When you go for a phonecamera only video, go exactly for that and be awesome at it. Use some stabilisation if you must, but keep this rigs, sliders, dollys, filters and lenses away. That is not recording something with a phone, that is just storing it using a different medium than a RED/Canon/dSLR. Such a shame and then only in 480p.

This Trailer leaves me curious! The story looks very interesting!!!! I knew my radio friends were going to make a peek, but that was soooo cool to hear them right off the first few minutes!!!! I am one of the loyal listeners that hopes you succeed and all your dreams for this movie come true. I have a friend who has several projects she has been working on for several years. Amazing that you got this going, off the ground and launched so fast!
Very very interesting movie, but I'm not sold on the idea of shooting with the Nokia N8, what's the point? Why not using a DSLR if You want to stay on a low budget? To me the concept is much more interesting than the tech used to achieve it :)
The theory behind the technology is cool, how you did it, isn't--the lens kit totally defeats the purpose. I am not trying to knock someones creative endevour but how the fuck did this cost so much? (300k from kickstarter which which will just be used for distribution) Far from me to say this but, indie film making isn't about the money, it's about heart, and I think you missed the boat.
@INT3RNAUT They want a full cinema release. Do you understand how film distribution works. They'll have to pay for every reel in each cinema and pay for the movement and security of each. This would pay for a partial release in the US on reel. If it's being shown digitally only that's different but I'm not sure if the roll out of digital cinema is big in the US yet.
@AndrewBrackin Don't you think they approached this ass backwards then? What I'm getting at is maybe they could have created a better movie by using that money you know, on the actual film and got a distribution deal on the merit of the film instead of creating crap and going out and trying to sell it to the theaters.
@INT3RNAUT Hooman said on the radio that half the budget went to Gena Rowlands. She's an Oscar-nominated actress (not to mention a winner of Emmys, golden globes and such...). Sounds like a good deal to me. Hater.
Interesting to see this but its a shame there isn't a higher res version... the current one looks to me like a telenovela or other non HBOish tv production, or very high BLOG show production (the gadget show for example).. but not quite film like. Still pretty intrigued!
