  • A star that is surrounded by gas and dust. Those are more uncommon than the other items (besides talking with Steve and going to the Galactic Core).

  • Actually this is a FORMING star ^_^

  • Actually our sun won't do that. Our sun will become a Red giant, then it would explode and become a planetary nebula, then it would become a white dwarf, then it would become a black dwarf.

  • omg you're smart

  • lol sarcasm?

  • @beanio12 it's not sarcasm he is acually smart.

  • @Anders9009

    hehe thanks!!!!

  • @beanio12 Don'y thank. It's true.

  • roflol we have same homeplanet!

  • can you atuly see supernoas in spore?

because it gives you the life span of the star + the history! tells time :D

i want to be right next to one when it explodes! so i go bye bye XD

keep an eye on that place it wil turn into a solar system :D or you coul dobserve how life progresses on it it shows commets i wounder why

    can you take them?

  • why does spore call blackholes "galactic formations"????????

  • thats not a dying star, thats a star about to born, look at the in game info (collections)

  • they're so pretty! ^_^

  • u idiot that is a protostar an early stage of a sun a supernova star would be soooooooooooo much bigger more than 50x the size of our sun

  • spore calls it a planetary disk its before the star forms not after it explodes

it explains in the collections menu

  • its the syart of a star i keep looking for theese

  • That would be a protoplanetary disk. It is the second stage of a star's life cycle. Supernova would be the second to last stage(for some stars it is the last)

  • Thats correct. Because there isn't a dust cloud around a stars remaining core when it goes nova. Protoplanetary discs are very much like that. I see EA did their home work

  • yeah thats one

  • our sun will never become a black hole - its too small.

The sun will swell in the next few hundred million to couple of billion years to a small red giant then a brown or blue dwarf I believe. It will then putter out.

  • stars become bigger in time until its too big then it explodes after few billion years earth will be swallowed by sun

  • aud - only some stars do that. Our sun will not explode. It all depends on the heat and mass of the star. A normal reaction is hydrogen fused to helium. If the sun is hot and dense enough it can fuse helium into oxygen and carbon, then those into iron. When a giant star goes supernova it creates all the heavier elements such as againg oxy, carb, iron, uranium and everything else. Our sun is not hot enough to get past helium though. Our whole solar system was made in a supernova.

  • i didnt say it will create blackhole

  • I never said you said that...

I just said it willnot explode.

  • if it would not explode then it would go to white dwarf and then neutron star

  • its going to become a white then brown dwarf - its too small to become a neutron star aswell.

  • a planetary disk is when a system is forming before the star forms but if you put all the graphics up to high you can see the supernova leftovers while youre traveling ^^

  • Stars don't just become bigger over time, they use up all off thier hydrogen over time which causes the Star to die one way or another. A star like ours( a yellow dwarf) reaches it's Red Giant stage near the end of it's life(it cools down and swells and yes it will sorch the Earth's surface, not swallow it). A star like ours will never be a black hole, it's mass is too small, but it will go Nova and all that will be left is a white dwarf at the center, which will die eventually as well.

  • I don't think it's eaven a supernova. It gots rings of dust all around it. So it didn't form planets yet. It looks like a beginning star.

  • I dont think the sun is able to become a black hole guys. it'll die out in a few billion or trillion years and form a new star, not a black hole

  • Yeah, the Sun is too small to be a black hole, only Huge stars become black holes when they die.

  • This is a proto-planetary disk, or a newly formed star, not a dying one. Get your facts straight.... Well I guess it is dying, but it is at the begining of it's life, if that makes any sense.

  • ur right but it would suck ALL the planets! that would suck. fortunately the sun wont explode but rather turn to a red giant and then a dwarf star.

  • umm it did not explode because its a proto star a star being born i may not play the game but i have spent every day reserching spore space stage is the hardest to learn i am still learning

  • thats not a star dieing, it a star being born, but it still looks cool

  • if the sun did explode, their wouldnt be a earth to suck up if it somehow did form into a blackhole cuz the sun would destroy the few inner planets (including earth)

  • actually, if the sun exploded, it would become so large that it would engulf 2-3 planets (maybe even earth). After it has run all out of helium atoms to collide with hydrogen atoms, it becomes a very small black hole with a mass large enough to create a shallow dip in the fabric of time.

  • the mass of the sun is to small to create a black hole (math determined)

  • your stupid. It's not the death of the star, it's the reincarnation. I'm fucking 12 and I get this straight.

  • Yes... because a super nova means that a star gets reincarnated... *cough* super NOVA, the star is EXPLODING, turns into a black hole... no comming back to life from that...

  • it can also turn into white dwarf

  • BTW, it's not a super nova!!!! :D

  • An example BETA PICTORIS

  • A supernova blows everything away. Thats a protaplanetery disk. A system forming.

  • It's a Proto-Planetary Disk it is a star being born and because of this massive energy it sucks space dust and debree towards it that after a long time become planets

  • There lopad of them close top my home planet

  • its a proto-star, or the ormation of a new solar system. It is composed of a newly born star, and a disk of gas and matter that, over a very large period of time, forms planets.

  • nah this isint supernova this is rare galaxie formation :3

  • It's a protostar, the birth of a star..

  • actually its a new galaxy he saw that was forming its called something or other and then disc

  • that is a protoplanetary disk, it is how solar systems get born, the star is in the middle and absorbs alot of interstellar gases. The planets are born because of rock ice, ect. colliding.

  • I have a vid on this. Cool vid. Too bad we never see it while its exploding hehe. I guess this super nova thing is really rare

  • ARGH YOU'RE ALL WRONG!!! IT'S A STAR BEING BORN NEXT TIME LOOK IN THE RARE OBJECT SECTION OF THE COLLECTIONS!!!

Man... 1/5 cos you couldnt even be bothered to find out what it is before you posted the video...

  • lol :)

Happy to see that you understand me .. :p

  • yeah, it's like our sun billion years ago ..

space dust and gas around the proto-star collide each other, and slowly form the planets ..

Sorry if my english is bad, im french .. xD

  • don't worrie man i'v seen americans who speak worse english than u.

  • and I've met english people with EVEN worse english, and they fudge INVENTED this shiz!

  • @cutmylifedotcom, like yourself.

  • @cutmylifedotcom

    Like you?

  • actually that was our sun about 7 billion years ago lol

  • @thomascoh

    Your English is absolutely FINE.

  • @thomascoh nothins wrong with your english

  • It's a proto-planetary disk, planets are being made there. I found one near my home star and you get a galactic object artifact, it's name is "Proto-Planetary Disk"

It's not supernova, or a blackhole, or a quasar.

  • Whats a quasar? I don't trust wikipedia, heh.

  • It's a neutron star(hopefulloy you know what that is) thats spinning really fast because of the supernova. Either that or im getting Quasar mixed up with something else.

  • Neutron Star is a decaying star, right? Aren't they usually Red Giants? Quasar would be a better name as an obscure subatomic particle like Bosons or Muons in my opinion, not that it matters.

  • i have one of those near my system!!

  • thats were a star is being built. a supernova only goes boom. I cant wait to figure out how to mod these stuffs. I need to make certain stars have life cycles and the can go boom. lol!

  • To specify, this is in fact NOT a supernova. That is a protostar, or a "star factory" where other starts are born.

A supernova would not create a dust field. In fact the only thing you would see is a remnant, though I'm not entirely sure if that is in Spore or not.

Needless to say, it's not a supernova.

  • hmm looks more like a quasar

  • Supernovas is not just a big bom..

the star first collapse then expand then explode.

  • it's a blackhole you morons

  • ... there's no such thing as a blasshole...

  • yup, it's a nebula not a supernova.

  • Thats not a Supernova. Its a very young solarsystem. The dust is going to be planets in the future. A supernova is a very, VERY big explosion.

  • you have no idea what ur talking about m8

  • actually hes right... a supernova dosent cpntinue exploding for years and years, its just one big KAAAABOOOOMMMMM!!!!!...

  • @greenybub then it reverts back on itself to become a nebula. this nebula is filled with the sight you see in the video as it is the birth place of most every star. however that would take an ass long time to load so they skipped a few seps and....proto-planetary disk

  • @cutmylifedotcom He was right it's the formation of a solar system

  • @cutmylifedotcom The definition of a Proto-Planetary Disk is the beginning of planet's life, NOT a supernova. A Super Nova is what happens when a star dies and it wouldn't look like this, it would be an explosion followed by a nebula. A proto-planetary disk is a collection of dust, ice, rock and amino acids that will eventually be a planet-baring solar system. Proto means "old" or "early" thus a Proto Planetary Disk is an 'early planet disk'. Learn astronomy before you speak.

  • @cutmylifedotcom supernovas are bright and last for a moment. thats a protoplanetary disc. look it up on sporepedia or go to actual wikipedia, or look at your collections
