Um, you use the missiles too much. There were several instances where you could have got an easy string of rounds on the enemy plane with the cannon but you instead waited for missile lock.

There is no way you can spend a good minute flying around trying to lock on with heat seekers everytime you dogfight if you're playing against good pilots - pretty boring to watch aswell. You handle the flying very well, so if you'd just switch over to the guns instead you'd be far more efficient and lethal, and obviously a better teamplay as you won't spend all your time looking at the sky.

You are a great pilot of the jet, but don't you think that you should have done something about the actual game? You weren't really helping the ground players by shooting down those jets, because they were thinking the same thing... "Shoot other jet." Try out guided missile, then see how you team looks at you when you kill every tank.

Sometimes people plainly suck in helicopters. That makes the need for shooting people down rather pointless.

Heat seekers take forever to kill jets, causing them to spawn consecutively. This is where jet pilots need to grow a pair and use their cannon. That will kill the jet wayyyy quicker.

After all is said and done, THEN you can focus on the ground (good luck though, you may kill vehicles, but infantry are hard to kill)

@thewildman97 the closer you are to the enemy jet when you're firing your canon the quicker he's going to go down. try to get as close to their ass as possible and then fire. Work on your tight turns. SHARP TURNING IS EVERYTHING WHEN FLYING if you can't turn sharper than your foe you're not going to win.

@thewildman97 oh and when you hear the noise that you have a missile on you.. prepare to make a complete turn around. as soon as they shoot the missiles immediately turn as quickly and sharply as possible until you're going in the opposite direction you were. if you do it correctly you'll see the missiles fly right past you :)

@NerboMaster That is because while the implementation of jets in-game is extremely unrealistic, it is good for gameplay for it to be that way. Real life missions of course involve days of planning and are carried out in a very premeditated way- in-game, even tasked with CAS, it is much more spontaneous by nature, and far more fast-paced and tighter spaced than in real life. A jet IRL wouldn't dare go below angels 12, but in-game everything is -1000 feet. You really can't even make that comparis

I absolutely love jets and am great at flying them, but when it comes to dogfight I get crushes. I'm always getting locked onto by enemies I can't see, usually helicopters; but when I try and close in on a helicopter, the fast speed on jets doesn't give me enough time to get any real firepower on them once I'm aimed and closing in. Maybe I just suck at aiming, but there's gotta be something I can change, or at least a mode to practice in without being missile-raped.

Anyone can point and click, but I bet as soon as you pick up a controller you go negative k/d instead of being able to make up for it, which makes you the opposite of good.
