@hitter1 they put u ina more aerodynamic position sure, put with your legs constantly pedaling it can be hard to control in the drops. I tended to use them for climbing and accelerating but not to maintain a certain speed. to choppy with ur knees kicking ur stomach

i dunno if any one noticed why his ride postion is so high its because he needs to have his weight on his pedals/back wheel to stop the pedals like that. thats also why he rides so stiff. pretty smart stuff.

From all the riding I've done, the only real thing I've learned in being safe is avoiding FORD cars...They are the worst and most unpredictable drivers..Everytime I almost get hit or a car is causing trouble it's a FORD...Fucking avoid them..

call me a pussy or not a real fixed gear rider. but i do need a fucking back brake on my ride.. you jus never know when you need to stop and the fixed gear isnt as easy to brake with.. all though i rarely use the brake its still there..

@shutter337 Try Gatorskins by Continental tires. They are incredibly resilient even with rough skidding punishment. I've been running with them for months and my rear tire still isn't showing much signs of wear. They also have a woven sidewall support to prevent blowing a tire out on a curb or pothole.
