Nowadays all new macs are  really PC same hardware only difference is the OS which cant run half the software that windows can. The best to use is the OS your already used to. Ony the software not the OS or hardware determins the quality and ease of use.

It's a Roland VP-550 Vocoder. A newer release and secondary product against MicroKorg and or the original Korg VC-10 Vocoder.
