  • What is the size of the tank?

  • Your betta fish doin Alrite

  • Nevermind lol

  • That tank is too small

  • @yauming2

well the female should get larger (duh) then the gravid spot (located right beside the anal fin) should start to darken and fill out. when she is about a week away from her drop you may notice her body start to look boxy

  • ive manged to breed and endler with a guppy

  • how do u know when the female is gonna give birth? i used to have a tank with lots of fishes but my fave was those guppies and they spawned like no tomorrow, i jsut got them lots of water plant to let the babies hide.

  • stop talking no one wants to haer you

  • @MrRobertoHead stop spamming you little bitch

  • I have Endler guppies

and they have babys like crazy

I just use the babys to feed my

Crown Tail Betta Fish! so they are

like a really cool mini Market of food

    :D

  • stupid boy

  • i study tropical / marine wildlife i should know

  • or just buy your self an oscer and then u dont need to worry bout that

  • I did and it brought fungus into my tank and all the fish got it and died. except for one which survived his illness.

  • @Paintedplaty21 if you ever want guppies or mollies without having to worry about poulation control for a decoration tank, a crayfish works great

  • Thats like me BUT my hamster was the one who had over 20 babies. Sadly she died :(

BTW in the beginning i only got one hamster never buy from Petsmart

  • Good lord your like me but with parents that let me have more than six tanks. :)

  • Where I got my guppies from; they started with 5 guppies. Now, they have 200 babies alone, and at least 40 adults. My own guppy is going to give birth soon :3

  • I have 3 goldfish in a 15 gallon tank......they seem happy ...they hang around a corner erea where i have a fake vine i bent to look like two vine growths in tank. they look nice positioned so that they can swim in anround them. i see they all females.

  • @tommyjude6666 sorry but a goldfish don't belong in such a little tank!! three? omg O.o

  • alot of work...geez

  • whats the male to female ratio? there looks to be too many males for the few amount of females...the females will become incredibly stressed with the amount of males trying to breed

  • You are adorable.

  • I want to get a 30, 40, or 55 gallon for Christmas. Would any of those be perfect, too small, or far too large?

  • @ben191209

30 guppies would literally turn in to thousands in a year, If your going to get 30 guppies then get ONLY males...

It is hard to get rid of guppies and you would end up with in-bred fish !

  • Sorry im a little last in responding. But it all depends on what type of fish how many and what other fish they are compatable with.

  • @ben191209 you can never go to large the larger the easier it is to maintain the water but harder to maintain the tank....

  • Ahh, they have that amber colour *0*

No matter what I do, my guppies are all blue or green lol

  • i figured a asian wouldve did this video

  • HAHA just bought 6 mothers prgo and like had 3 males ..... cant wait to see what going to happen have had some give birth and living for about a week now but ...... how those breader boxes go ? i here they stress the fish out and can cause them to lose them all .... is that true ? well any ways whats your luch on having guppies ? any tips ?

  • This is why I get only male or only female guppies.

Are those fancy guppies? I was thinking about getting a male to go with my platy and angelfish :)

  • @Pop12646Okami My angelfish ate my guppy so be careful

  • @urbestnightmarexx O_o How is that even possible?

But I don't know, my angel is still a juvenile and isn't very aggressive, so the guppy should do just fine. But thank you for the warning :P

  • @Pop12646Okami It kinda bashed it around a lot until it died and then ate it :( some are aggressive and some aren't. i just don't want any of your poor guppies going missing. I am sure you will be fine though ^^

  • @urbestnightmarexx Ahh, sorry about your guppy: angelfish, especially adults, can get really snippy. And usually they do well together.

    Anyway, thanks :D

  • Thank you for sharing!!! I just got my first guppies ever a couple of days ago. I think they are like "The Butterflies of the Fish World." LOL

  • Crud... they're really beautiful. I have a plain yellow-tailed mummy fish and the males in my tank are mostly orange and blue, but we luckily got one fancy guppy! :)

  • i think you have a muppy

  • I have a ton of baby guppies. we had to branch out some of them to my brother's tank.

  • Does anyone know if you have to worry about inbreeding?

  • I've heard that after one-two weeks you can let the fry out of the breeding container. Some fry may survive by hiding. Some may get eaten. That's how you control the population of the fish so that the tank won't get overloaded.

  • @l0stinthedeepx Unfortunately it sometimes has to be done if you don't want to end up with hundreds of guppies. Another option would be to get some bigger fish and put them in the tank like a Betta or something that will eat the fry and act as a sort of population control.

  • @Kiara1125 Actually the males will fight if they don't have some females around to keep them busy. I even had one real aggressive male guppy that would still fight with the other males even with females around. Had to get rid of him. He was a bully. Breeders try to breed these violent and aggressive tendencies out of them, and they also try to breed out the cannibalistic tendencies. Or so I've heard.

  • Beautiful guppies!

  • female guppies reproduce on their own they dont need a male

  • @cg2k14 they need a male dumbo

  • @cg2k14 You're confusing this with the fact that female guppies can store the male's sperm. They can have more babies after their last brood after about 3-4 weeks. This can continue on for a while too.

  • @cg2k14 your confusion is probably because guppies can have 3 seperate pregnancies after having sex with a male once.

  • @cg2k14 no they dont the point of having both male and female is do they can breed if there was only e type them there wouldn't be a need for another sex. i think ur getting the idea that guppies can breed but the girls can hold the sperm for up to like thre months then impregnate themselves. bt they still do need a male

  • @cg2k14 They do need a male, but the female guppy holds the sperm so she can get pregnant twice off of a male thats not in the tank, if they had mated before.

  • I see one that's about to burst with babies lol. It's gravid spot is huuge LOL

  • If you're meaning to breed the guppies, just watch for imbreeding complications. It will eventually happen if they don't mate with others. *shrug* Just what I've learned over the years.

  • i got a good idea u send me a couple

  • ya they are long gone lol sold most to the pet stor im left with three almost baby femle guppies that aren't getting any bigger

  • nice vid dude..same thing in my case i have a lot of guppies too, in just 3months i got a lot of fry

  • I have some guppies and I have never had to buy a birthday present for someone since :P

  • how big is your tank?

  • Which one? lol i have a 55 gal a 10 gal a 2.5 gal a .5 gal and a betta vase

  • I love the color markings!

  • because the males mature when they are three weeks old then the females start having babies

  • guppies are cool fish but if you dont want like 500 of them seperate the males and females before they are three weeks old

  • WOW You have Very Pretty Guppies! I REALLY love!!! the black and red and orange! Just Beautiful!

  • The best ratio is 1 male to two females.

  • 82 just makes faster spawn and growth

  • ones the temperature in my pond was 98 F and the guppies was o`k

  • great video but ghey cant die from 82degrese

  • @joshuamyler no, leave him alone, his vid is ok, not the best but not the worst, sp sling ur oook

  • @Cristopher8675 hey im not saying its his fault but he is an idiot at guppy care!

  • @joshuamyler yeah sorry my sister went on my account and posted this, dont know why she was on it becuase i breed guppies and have raised and sold hundreds, but yeah hes not doing the guppies any favours

  • @joshuamyler u in the USA cus im in the UK and its 12:30 at night lol

  • @Cristopher8675 nah im in the uk its 1am now

  • get those females out or they will keep multiplying !

  • they cant die from 82 digreese

my tank is 86 digreese now from hot summer

  • what do you feed the fry ?

  • seems cool i started out with 3 guppies 2 females and a male and i had to buy like a tank that was 600$ cuz they had to much
