Can't Change Me Music Video Interpretation BY just2toomuch
Done to Chris Cornell's Can't Change Me, this video goes through the trials and tribulations a father and daughter goes through as both of them grow, body and soul.
Please-Copy and paste. The video maker deserves recognition- Thanks !
Some people may say, that Chris Cornell lost some of his credibility in the last time - I don't care about that. The music he made with Soundgarden is after all these years still standing like a Monolith. And this song is one of the greatest pieces of music I was ever allowed to listen to.
hell, this song helped me go through the blackest days.
strange, isn't it? Sometimes the most desperate songs are the only ones that really help and save yourself from going crazy.
Really good performance, though this song will always sound at its best played by Soungarden back in the 90s...
Its sad that i cant see the old Cornell anymore, the long-hair guy who stayed away from fashions along with all the other musicians of the great early 90s alternative scene... Look at those pictures: expensive clothes, suits, walking on a red carpet... :(
Anyway, his voice, songs and lyrics remain forever!
i feel you man but he did get older & look at his wife/ol lady she looks good she proubly want him to look good & when u say look at the pics do that look at the pics he has a kid man hes not as hard rock as he was kids/wife do that to a guy!
The very first time hear that acoustic. It gives me goose pimples just to think about it. Greate musician doing well performance! It just could be my faith.
i really like chris cornel and listen to him all the time but one thing is for sure- his voice has changed throughout the years to the worst....and im really sorry about this
Bloodcurdling screams can do some damage after a couple decades, but he's done a lot of vocal self-rehab'ing since Audioslave. I saw him live recently and I'm proud to say that he sounds just like he did in the 90's.
Ya your vocal chords harden with use, and to keep from losing a voice like his has got to take dedication and responsibility (look at what happened to axl rose) Really tho he sounds badass.
I like the comment about being alive in an era of great music. I love the grunge stuff and now these men have come full circle.Cornell did the theme to the James Bond movie and Eddie Vedder wrote the music to the Sean Penn movie.Look at all the souls lost along the way to drugs.I am so proud to be a part of the class of people who can appreciate and love this type of music.Theme song for the mistakes of my own life.
Where does anybody get off as a critic in this or in any page. We should all be grateful for being alive in an era of astounding artists and heartwrenchingly beautiful music. Kudos Chris.
You can definately hear his voice aging over the years. It's nice though cuz he embraces it and uses it well. Very smooth jazzy wail. This is a great performance.
@Mikestheman it lost its rasp but it's something new, and i love it as a jazz voice as well. WHatever Cornell does (besides working with Timberland) i'll always love him, lyrically, musically and emotionally he was a genious
I like this live version alot (perhaps more than the album version?). I don't think that it's weak at all, to the contrary. I think that this solo version of the song is more what Chris had in mind when he wrote the song.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I gotta say, I like Chris Cornell's acoustics, but tbh this version of this song is weak. It's so, so weak. It's nice, but it's weak, and I like him because of the power of his voice and the range. This version is as weak as my bowels after 10 pints of guiness.
It's really easy to criticize someone while you're warming your chair watching you tube. Not saying you don't have your rights to likes, dislikes, opinions, etc, because we all do. I hear nothing but beauty in this song. By the way, can you play it better? Just wondering.
If you MUST comment to a 4 month old comment, at least say something that means something. I'm glad I have the right to say my opinion, and I choose to waiver that right (however in this instance I don't). I hear nothing but beauty in this song too; all I said was that this version is completely different and I prefer the original because that's what Soundgarden's song were written to sound like. I can't play it this well, and I don't claim to. That's completely irrelevant.
Just because a voice has aged doesn't mean its any worse. And I just saw him last week at Massey Hall and he was spot on. So I don't know what you're on ajajtapa but its some good shit, you're out of your tree
You guys dont know shit, Chris Cornell is amazing and everything that he has done is amazing. CC is my favorite artist and seeing him live was the best thing I have ever done in my life.
he's just great, this song great.. i loved soundgarden and now i hate audioslave -the new songs i heard are just shitty pop.. sorry chris, they really are
ok, you got me.. i exaggerated a little bit.. but i don't mind a change and i don't HATE audioslave - it was a bad choice of words.. what i hate is things going from great to bad, like other bands who used to be great or at least fun and now play shitty pop.. and i also hate hc fans bitching about someone elses opinion. stone me, you crybaby!!!
No dude, honestly. I listen to Audioslave, but I think most of their songs are just really hard riffs. The playing of that band is complete crap. It's sort of a median for Cornell's vocals and lyrics, which isn't bad, although his song-writing and all that was much MUCH better in Soundgarden, along with his voice too. Thank God they disbanded.
This type of song comes from deep, dark places that now see the sunlight. I think it means literally something done out of despair that was wrong and he is trapped in his mind and body to live to regret his black deed. His new life is his change, peppered with regret,of course. People don't just write and perform because they can. It chooses them..
he's a great artist solo..i don't really like him live with audioslave even if some of their songs are really good(cochise..!),well and soundgarden was great.nice career, isn't it !?
And then you say his voice is just the same. Try to listen to this song a bit louder then. But anyway, he's a great singer, but still not as good as he used to be, anyway.
beautiful baby and beautiful singer/songwriter...thanks for posting
