  • who was that great big outer space dunce who decided to delete this wonderful, amazing scene?

  • And this is why Donna is the Doctor's best friend.

  • "Let's remember." Ironic, consider Donna won't remember in the long run.

  • Awwww! :'D

  • It's one of those moments where Donna is more rational in composure and she decides that it's time to move on. Just what he Doctor needed sometimes. Donna was so brilliant and I miss her IMMENSELY!

  • Did anyone else feel a huge sting of pain when Donna said "We remember"?

  • Thank you SO much for this! Awesome, truly! I *miss* him!

  • I think the doctor learned a lot from Donna, especially being the 10th regeneration. I think it was good for him that there was somebody who really supported him and loved him very naturally, like a brother. Also - somebody who didn't always agreed with him or admired him blindly. Not that I didn't liked Rose or Martha, but Donna is... different. (I'm still watching season 4, so spoil me and you will be exterminated, of course.)

  • @Plottoberry SPOILER ALERT?! The eleventh Doctor is a Girl?! Weeeeeeel no. BUT he shier is feminine.

  • @Gemeni3insane I do know that, haha. But, you know... for example, I still don't know the truth about River Song and all, and I want to find out myself.

  • @Plottoberry River song? MaaaaaaaaN I didn't get that far in the season. Don't tell me, I wont it to be a supries ;P

  • THIS SCENE WAS BRILLIANT! Why the hell did they remove it? It shows that the Tenth Doctor was indeed very human.

  • Donna was a great companion-like in the old series-none of the 'I fancy him bollocks', which was refreshing.

  • What episode was this deleted out of?

  • what did donna say at first?

  • @RavenclawGirl29 she said how are you spaceman

  • @squishybluecheese thanks XD

  • But Donna, you don't rememberD: *cries in a corner*

  • I think Donna was by far the best companion the Doctor has had. She brought out the best in him, and chastised him (gently) when he messed up. They always did have the best relationship, imo.

  • That was a great scene between the two. I wish that they had left that scene in

  • The TARDIS dematerialising sounds like a fairground ride XD x

  • How do they get from this shit quality and all those sounds to the final thing haha :P

  • @KidWithTheSpecsTV They do a lot in post production with lighting, sound, and adding music.

  • Why do the deleted scenes have to be soooo good?

  • I miss David SOOO much :( He IS the doctor

  • I want him to find out that she's not dead!

  • Interesting to hear what the "Tardis" sounds like before they add in sound effects.

  • aww such a lovly scene :) I <3 Donna Noble!

  • i like how the tardis sounds in that scene, litttle more real

  • This scene is so well done... but the real Tardis noise is a lot less dramatic.

  • What did Donna say at 0:20?

  • @10thDoctorLove She said "How are ya spaceman?" <3

  • i love this scene.so beautifully acted out :) xxx

  • lol i love how it looks when he moves things on the TARDIS when there's no sound.... like he's really just making it all up and its not just my imagination ;)

  • Wow, aside from the missing sound effects and stuff, this scene really works well without a score.

  • they should have put this in! :(

  • It's rather anticlimactic when you hear that the real noises that the TARDIS makes are more like a London bus engine starting up :(

  • As the 11th Doctor would say, 'But it didn't make the noise.'

  • sweet

  • rose= love interest, martha=student, donna= best friend

  • @windmagelita Amy?

  • @emmahouli i havent seen any of season 5 yet

  • @windmagelita Oh my friend you are in for a treat (of course if you have just finished watching the 10th doctor you will be mourning him for a while...

  • Oh my god, those noises sound way more believable than the ones in the finished episode.

  • Those noises the TARDIS REALLY makes are as good as the ones on the show. If I met the Doctor in real life, I'd be ok if the TARDIS sounded like that!

  • Aww, I love her.

  • Donna Noble is my favorite but I see Amy Pond as sexier, younger Donna.

  • This would have been a brilliant scene after he left rose in the parallel universe..it would have been beautiful

  • Was this about the Doctor missing Rose?

  • @darkestdaysx No. It was about him losing his daughter and Donna being an amazing companion.

  • they really should have kept this.

  • this was deleted cause the doctor it to clever and mystical to take advice especially from donna

  • Can't think of any logical reason for this being cut.

  • @iAmTheYan Time constraint.

  • @iAmTheYan It was probably shot before they decided to let Jenny live (Steven Moffat suggested that Jenny surviving would be a better ending)

Jenny's journey into space makes for the lighter, happier ending that Moffat suggested would work.

  • @kaledmasterme But the Doctor didn't know that she survived so it could have been kept to happen before it shows Jenny surviving. Just a thought :)

  • I think this scene was gorgeous! They probably cut it cuz it looks kinda funny when Donna's... touching his hearts XD xxxx

Jokez awesome scene, they should have put it in!!!

  • @xPeachPowerx

Touching someone's heart is a very emotional and sweet gesture, it just sort of looks off when the character is suppost to have two. :/ Still sweet, just.... off.

  • NO TARDIS. YOU'RE MAKING THE WRONG NOISE.

  • @EdgeZombie Haha! Love it! No Tardis you're making the wrong noise!!! XD

  • @EdgeZombie lol

  • lol, I can see why they cut it, it's very sweet but a little over dramatic. Love Donna Noble, though!

  • grrr they should bring donna noble back to the show she made it really good dont like amy or river

  • Donna Noble: Best. Companion. Ever.

  • @1forall0allfor1 no i like Rose

  • @borismycat I like Rose too. But I Love Donna.

  • @1forall0allfor1 she suffered a fate worse than death

  • @1forall0allfor1 Rose is way better, except in "The Idiot's Lantern".

  • "We remember, what else can we do" That makes me so sad :( Because Donna will never remember..

  • i was sorta hoping Jenny would have a spin off series or appear again or something.

  • They should've kept this.

  • wats dona's first line? i cant quite hear it

  • @hoodiesarah How're ya spaceman.

  • the real reason this scene was cut is that RTD felt that Donna Noble was upstaging the past companions waaaay too much! she is seriously the best companion the doctor has had!

  • @kopa225 I did too!

  • Shouldn't have been cut! T_T

  • Okay, this was a really beautiful scene, so it makes me a bit sad they didn't add it into the episode...of course it might have dragged a bit. but they could have tacked it onto the Unicorn and the Wasp at the beginning, just for kicks.

Okay, now that I've said that...am I the only girl who thinks Catherine Tate is one lucky woman? ...she put her hands on David's chest... ;D

  • Why do I get the feeling they're about to kiss

  • Idea: Jenny hears the stories about the Doctor (and Time Lords, maybe) along with information about the TARDIS. She learns how to find it. Not truly knowing what it means for a Time Lord to regenerate (she was healed, but not changed), she finds the TARDIS. Amy asks who she is, Jenny says she is looking for her dad. Enter Doctor 11, who now has to explain this is his daughter that doesn't recognize him... Cliffhanger ending. Just an idea...

  • @TheLdyDrake And is that idea up to being realized in a fanfic of some sort? Cause if not... I volunteer! (I'm afraid I only can write German, or let's say I'm not that good in English...)

  • @Sejabonga Quite honestly, I never seem to have the time to finish any fics I start. So really I would give this idea to Moffat himself. See what he would do with it. And it would bring Georgia back for a bit.

  • DID YOU JUST PITCH UP FROM MARS?

  • @sirMrJames I know he's not from Mars, but "Martian Boy" is what Donna called him in Runaway Bride. It was a very, tincy, weency joke. :-)

  • love this scene :) It shows that The Doctor really does need someone and Donna is like perfect for him :)

  • That's not a sad scene..it's uplifting. Donna really helps the Doctor, love it.

  • Just another instance in which it would be really awkward if The Doctor was female.

  • 2 things:

1 - Too bad this was deleted (even it turned out that the Doctor's daughter was not dead.)

2 - Is that sound the TARDIS makes in this scene the real sound? (that gets later replaced by the one we all know?)

  • @Kraahkan yes it is - unedited and not dubbed over until it gets the the editing floor and the sound guys do their things!! :o)

  • When I saw this episode on TV this was shown ...

  • this SHOULD have made the final cut, we need to kill the 3 people who put thumbs down on this people!!

  • Oh sorry, I missed that he was upset about the loss of his daughter--not a companion. That makes this even more powerful. It should have been left in for sure. No one plays a tortured soul better than David Tennant.. I feel so sorry for the Doctor here. I wonder why they never brought his daughter back for another episode. Well, maybe they'll bring her back with Matt Smith as the doc.

  • @d2majzoub Well, since Stephen Moffat, now in charge, was the one who originally argued for Jenny to be revived at the end of the episode, I'd say it was a pretty sure bet that we'll see her again... someday...

  • Usually I totally agree with the scenes they cut, but not this time. This scene is so raw and beautifully acted on both David and Catherine's parts, I think it should have been left in. The episode would have been better its being there. If nothing else, it fully shows the depth of the Doctor's feelings for his companions. It makes him that much more human---for a martian boy.

  • @d2majzoub hes not from mars..

  • "We remember..."

You won't! Mwahaha....Oh god, I just made myself sad :'(

Wish they'd kept this in. I don't think it's depressing, it's nice to see that even though he's lost someone, he's got his best friend there for him. xx

  • omg they are soo a couple lol and wats with all the weird tardis sounds at the end lol

  • @IluvHarryPottermost Because a lot of what you hear on the final product is added in later.

  • @IluvHarryPottermost I think all the sound effects were left out...as was any music.

  • Aww, this was so sweet !! *__*

So glad I found it on here, thanks for uploading !

... And yes, the "we remember" part is terrible when you know what happens next :s

  • This is why I love Donna so much. She's all there in that scene.

They shouldn't have deleted it - it wasn't sad, it actually made me smile because there's always hope in a long-lasting friendship. =)

Tennant will always be my doctor.

  • omg that's so sweet! wish they didn't delete that!

  • what was the very first thing that Donna said?

  • @ADragonAmongRoses I believe its; "How are you, spaceman?"

  • @ByakuyaVsSesshomaru ah! so it is.... thank you very much for bringing that to light ^_^

  • Irony..

    :)

  • This part would have worked sooo well!

  • What a touching scene! A perfect illustration of why I Love the Doctor and Donna's friendship so much. They had a beautiful relationship!

    *sniff* I miss Donna.

  • LOVE THIS SCENE

  • Miss David so much! D:

  • Aww, Donna, why are you incredible?

  • Wish they hadn't cut it...

  • It is weird to see Catherine Tate acting normal!!!! LOL!

  • Gosh, I miss 10. I mean, 11 is freaking awesome, much better than I thought he'd be, but I still love DT so much.

  • what does she mean "new world for her"?

  • @MamaMario13 She means in her honor. or because she can't. something like that.

  • The TARDIS is very creaky..

  • 'Let's find a new world - for her'

    Aww, so sad =(

  • I love Donna , poor Donna no memory, the best drdonna we will sing songs of the drdonna

  • defo should have left it in... but RTD only had so manyminutes he was allowed to use

  • I hope Donna comes back in the new series. I thought she was the best companion.

  • aww this scene is cool! WHY OH WHY did he cut it out?

  • They really should have kept this scene. It just shows although Donna can be a loud gobby companion she's really caring and sensitive too.

  • Whats that noise in the backround??

  • @vinnie234786 probably cameras, if they had kept it in they would have covered it up with music

  • This was the PERFECT scene, I cannot even fathom the reason they took it out. I loved this episode but this was needed to convey the Doc's pain about losing Jenny more, this scene would have hit it spot on.

  • Donna is normally such a funny and crazy person, but here she's so sweet and caring. I want to be her best friend. =D

  • this is such a lovly scene, they should have keept it in!!!

  • Nice to see how it is befor all the sounds and effectes are added

  • they should have kept this scene -.- I think it was perfect, and at least someone said that the doctor did right and not just let him suffer alone.. why did they not use ittt T_T xD (although I know why but technically i think this is not sad but uplifting cause donna said that)

  • I'm sick of people saying they're so glad RTD is gone. Yes, his writing was maybe too emotional and portrayed the Doctor to be too caring, BUT alot of my favorite episodes were the ones he wrote. I'll admit I like Steven Moffat's writing much more as far as the intricate story lines are concerned, but Russel was still an essential part of the revival to Doctor Who and I think he deserves a bit more respect.

  • they should have kept that scene since it did end happily with jenny not dead, i am so glad russel t davies is gone.

  • This ep was one of my least favourites - but that scene would've MADE it.

    Should. Have. Been. Kept.

    Thanks for sharing!!

  • Oh i thought they were talking about Rose <3

  • I personally think RTD should have left this scene in, fundemental to episode as this, should have been , quite rightly, teemed with emotion.

  • wat episode is this scene deleted from? is it the one with his daughter??? :)

  • so thats what the TARDIS sounds like with no sound effects. Blimey its squeaky

  • I think this was a good scene to show how much Donna cares about him, but they could have done without her grabbing his boobs. That was a little strange-looking.

  • Yeah, I think she was supposed to be putting her hands on his hearts, but it does end up looking rather odd.

  • Woah, nellie! I never even thought of it that way, and now I'll have a hard time getting it out of my head! Thnx for that! lol!

  • We need to see her again >=C

  • what does donna say at the begining of this episode... ty

  • @sexybethizit09 she says :Oi spaceman:

  • aw i love these moments when she's just like a mother figure to him. they should have kept it as closure.

  • It's also really poignant when taken in context with his ending. "That pain proves you were right to let them ALL in."

  • the tardis sounds so wierd

  • NEVER trevor!

    Take that BACK!!!

  • this brought tears to my eyes

they should've kept it in the episode

  • The only thing I really hated about "The Doctor's Daughter" was its utter lack of closure... this scene was just what it needed. Shame it was cut.

  • I wonder if it feels silly to fiddle with the tardis when you know it's just a big plastic thingi. XP

  • lol when the time rotor goes theres no tardis sound, it seems weird without it, i suppose they have to edit it in

  • Does anyone know what happened to the deleted scene where Jenny's death scene was extended and she asks about the breath of life story and whether the reason She sighed was because of disappointment and the doctor says, 'No.. it was never disappointment'. That scene made me cry and should've been put in the original episode.

Does anyone know where it is?

  • no one has uploaded it I'm afraid, but I totally agree with you, they should have kept it, but if you want to see it used in a video, I used it (well not the entire scene) in a video called :Doctor Who : The Lonely Angel "lost them all"

  • I love you! Thank you and i certainly will watch it! =D

  • OMG, I'm gonna cry !!!!

  • Wow. What does Donna say at like 15 seconds in? xx

  • hiya spaceman

  • "How are you Spaceman?"

  • Comment removed

  • donna's ring shimmered with light when she was holding the doctors tow hearts

  • I love this scene

it really illistrates Donna and the Doctor's relationship

  • i know its like donna was the mom in this episode......

  • @Selana ya its like they are the parents of her

  • the tardis sounds like it's been smoking cigarettes for 950 years XD

  • aww they should've put this in! it's so sweet. <3

  • It's a great Donna moment. Very good scene for her, but you'd think that after 900 years the Doctor know how to handle the loss of a loved one and he wouldn't need Donna to tell him how to mourn. So in my mind, this scene was right to have been cut, even though it was a great sad scene, with great Donna before she turned DD. And its probably better left like this, without music I mean. I love the silence in this.

  • The sound of the Tardis just isn't the same without the added on effects xD

    God bless computerised sound.

  • bad recording

  • Ugh, RTD really makes me mad sometimes. WHY cut out this scene? It was wonderful! Yes, it was sad, but it was a really great Donna scene. Especially since this was BEFORE the "DoctorDonna" thing happened, and it shows Donna really was a wonderful companion even before she got Timelord consciousness. It makes me upset to think that most people don't get to see this scene. =(
