This is a very good theme song, though it would have been nice if they incorporated the original theme in the new score the entire way through. Not just during parts in the beginning. The KI-KI-MA-MA should be everpresent throughout, in my opinion.

@xxTonyzPlacexx That's the problem with Platinum Dunes, I do appreciate what they try to do, But they stick to the old horror cliches because they feel it well make us feel nostalgic about the 80's horror flicks. But really after these cliches have been used over and over and over, it's just not as entertaining to see how dumb teenagers get hacked to bits. Make the characters clever IE Nancy in the original Elm Street. Have one dumb fuck that don't get it but not a group. It's a worn out idea.

Yeah, but how realistic is that? besides, when the film-makers made the decision to make jason a real guy and not supernatural, the "appearing in front of his quarry when he was just behind them" thing had to go, logically and to keep in spirit with what they were trying to do. Also, if you watch the first 4 films, Jason actually does run after his prey, as well as making an effort to catch them. It wasn't until part 6 when he became a "zombie" that he slowly stalked his victims.

I'm in a love/hate relationship with the score for the remake. I liked it and felt it complimented the film very well. But, at the same time, I was hoping for a derrivative of the first 3 films themes, which I ended up disappointed(call me crazy, but I love those pieces of music). And then, there were times when I thought the score reminded me alot of the Halloween chase theme(you know, DUNN, DUNN-DUNN,). See what I mean? But the flick itself was VERY entertaining!

Every other thing with Jason was just killing for no reason. Part 2 had a reason. There were no more reasons for him to return. Part 2 was a wonderful ending to the series. But, we wouldnt have the famed hockey masked killer would we now if that happened.
