  • I enjoyed that a lot, thank you. I am trying to learn this tune on the low whistle and this recording is one of the most inspirational versions of it on the web. Thank you.

  • What a beautyful Tune!

  • Your touch is simply amazing and gives me shivers of pleasure down my spine; please play a long piece :-;

  • i hope to sight read like that some day! gorgeous job.

  • So calming- it is a lovely song.

  • Does the title of this song refer to actual wild geese, or to the Irish mercenary soldiers known as "Wild Geese"?

  • is it not spancill hill...faery.that is so nice.

  • Sorry, I meant to give that a thumbs up ! ! !!

  • Lovely playing.I have wild geese flying over just now..on their flight path!

  • Lovely. Do you know if the song has words? It is such a lovely tune I'd love to sing it with my harp. I could never play it as well as you do, but I'd love to try the tune.

  • This is one of my most favorite tunes. Great job! 5 stars

  • This is great...irishoforiel, thanks for the video share.

  • And in Irish mythology, swans are the Children of Lir.

  • I too love to see wild gueese flying. One time just after my father and my sister died I saw two gueese flying over heading east I kid you not.I got teary eyed and told them "Fly on home!"

  • mate, that is nice what you have said. I know what it is like to lose someone close.

  • I know exactly what you mean! Lost my father recently and he was a nature-lover and birdwacher. I get all soggyeyed at moments when I see birds he used to love&teach me about and had a similar experience like the one you mention.

I know the story of the Children of Lir...beautiful stories of value, Irish mythology.

  • Ow! Beautiful! And Wild Geese are by far my favorite birds :-)

  • where did u learn this from?!...

  • This is sort of based on an arrangement by Laurie Rasmussen. Kathleen Loughnane has a lovely arrangement in Affairs of the Harp...but it is way too tricky.

  • ok well this is a slow air and i was wondering of the page your reading it on has a regular time signature?!cause this tune shouldnt have one!!i'll make a video response with a version if u wish! also i was wondering if u know the story behind the tune?!

  • It would be super to see how it should be played. I shall look forward to your version.

  • Bravo!
