I love though how in anime, when the main character pulls this kinda stuff, they get to the bottom, and the villan's like "You were too slow."

I remember doing this the first time. Me and Link were synchronised. We were PISSED at Ghirahim for taking Zelda, I wanted to get to her, to rescue and be there for her so bad. I was upset that Ghirahim had uprooted me so easily, and taken out Groose so epiclly. He had taken my own secret passageway, and my blood was boiling. When the cutscene happened when the army approached Link, both me and him at the same time reached for the Master Sword. And I killed everything in my way.

It succeeded in that, The whole scenario gave you a huge rush like,"HOLY SHIT ZELDA'S GONNA DIE IF I DON'T GET DOWN THERE AND KICK GHIRAHIM'S ASS GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY BOKOBLINS" and you totally feel overpowered and badass when you kill all of them.

But i do kinda think it was pointless and stupid to put it in the Thunder Dragon Lightning Round. It shouldve been bilocyte -_-

I never thought about it while playing, but I had a thought when I saw the opening story again.

Perhaps this is that same army that it says came out of the fissure and attacked the original residents of the Surface. So, if that's the case, you're effectively finishing what Hylia started.

@AuraKshatriya1 You can run past them, but as soon as the energy gates stop you, all those bokoblins come back and you must defeat them. If you defeat them on the way down, the only bokoblins you fight at the gate are the ones who are summoned at that time. Either way, you take down all the bokoblins, it's up to the player to decide when. :)

no other zelda game had tryed something like this. bokoblins! bow bokonlins! bomb bokoblins! blue bokoblins! moblins! stalfoses! in a dramatic climax, a descent in a giant spiral (maybe a referece to the hell in divine comedy?) and ghirahim that shoes is true form... that was one of the best parts of one of the best games ever.

I think what I love that nintendo did is take this Link, who is supposed to be the very original Hero of Hyrule, and made him the most badass and epic of all of them. They really did an excellent job of making his character feel legendary in comparison to all of the other versions of Link so far.

@zattacks That's true, they might have done that on purpose to signify Link's growth. Skyward Sword's storyline seemed to be about Link growing strong, physically, mentally and spiritually. At the start he gets called slow and at the end he gets called fast. Therefore showing one part of his development.
