Subhanallah, after hearing the video of Shaikh al Albanee arguing with Shaikh Abbaad (both's muhaddithun) this issue became quite hard.
In my case, I can just stick to more important issues for now and when the knowledge reaches me I will check if the hadeth is indeed daif or it's sahih.
It's quite weird that 2 Mohadithun didn't say that the hadith was daif, W'All-llahu A'lem
This isn't the issue. The issue is that there are many other hadeeths that state the permissibility of fasting on Saturdays. They out weight the doubt and suspicion to the unknown.
The Ijmaa (consensus/ majority) of the Ulama state the permissibility of fasting Saturdays.
Shaykh Ibn Baaz RaheemhuAllaah is correct the the Hadith is weak regarding the impremissibility of fasting Saturdays.
SubhanAllah very interesting. Imaam Albani missed this understanding and he was a greater Muhaddith than them both. I think I will stick to this understanding and not blind follow because I love Imaam Albani.
I am so confused now, because of what Shaykh Al-Albanee stated.. rahimahullah.
They are both very contrasting views. Uthaymeen says the hadith is weak and Al-Albanee says the hadith is authentic (the one with the tree bark on saturdays.)
@MuslimVlogGuy there is an acceptable difference between the scholars here, if you are able to look into the detail i.e. if that hadith is hasan or da'eef then do so, otherwise stick to the scholar which you see providing the most convincing evidence, whether that be Shaykh al-Albaanee or others. Allaah knows best.
