I started freaking out when it said the gate had 11 minutes close because I had no idea in hell what I was doing and so I freaked out and quit the game for the night, watched this the next morning and decided I could do it. Uhgg haven't done it yet though cuz I'm scared...hehe

@bdyanksfan7 yes you are totally right!!! one goblin fireball and I'm dead...but the good thing being vampire is that you will obtain more bonuses to attributes each day...

Example: I played for a vampire 50 game days and my athletics(agility and etc.) had +40 bonus

@bdyanksfan7 The only bad points of being a vampire for me is that you can't go out in the sun and that your character looks like a ninety years old character, and with anorexia... but without that, is cool being a vampire. I was almost completing the game' main questline, though, and I tried to close an Oblivion gate, but when I got out, it was already daytime, so I died cuz I couldn't get to Bruma in time and I can't use fast travel while taking damage (that's dumb in my opinion, sorry)

@umagarandyorton619 that was never an issue for me. If you start off any quest with 25% vampirism, you can spend days (game time, not real time) in the oblivion plane without letting it go to 50% as long as you don't sleep/wait.

@umagarandyorton619 glad I could help :) although the stat boots are super awesome at 100% vampirism, 25% vampirism is awesome on its own, and what's more is you can walk during the day unscathed. And you still look human! if you have trouble looking for people to feed on, just feed on people from the mages guild (if you're a member, just go in at night).

@classifieds103 you bet! If not for that sun thing, I really like vampirism, cuz my char is in the Dark Brotherhood, and he's a Khajiit, so it gives him a more evil looking :D

I usually fee on the beggars, or people from the DBH, cuz they don't care if you do (after you're the Listener, I man, but is easy to complete the DBH storyline :D) ^^

Actually, you can skip the first few world breaker towers, and just head for the caves if you can survive a bit of lava

hey i have this gay vampire thing on my guy so when i try and blow up the gate and go out the sun kills me, is there anywhere i can run to before it does? i get like 30 secs or a bit more till i do and i cant fast travel because i am dieing, all my saves r from inside the great gate aswell so i dont know what to do and if anyone could please respond to this that would be great thank you.

why dont you just get a 100 dmg shock spell? they are week against them. those creeps die with one on-touch spell and you just run through them, saves a lot of time + if you would have the atronach birthsign, there would be more mana then you would regen, especially in the part with the fireballs hitting from the towers

u could just go kill umbra and u get an amazing sword and ebony armor second best armor i think. that is way better than imperial and blades. i use deadric at lvl 22 i got it by the bounding armor glitch so i have weightless armor and its very good.

Once in the great gate, it took me 2 minutes and 13 seconds to get the great sigil stone =)

At the beginning i went straight through the lava (but to the side so i wouldnt get burnt) then I kept going to the last tower, went inside, rode the thing to the second floor and went through the door, walked across the bridge, jumped around the gate and went into the main tower. After that I ran to the top and gathered my great sigil stone. Oh and if anyone is going to try my method (which I already did) use a spell called Pack Mule (Feather 150 points for 300 seconds)
