Having spent years in recovery searching for God, tossing prayers into the air like confetti thru a fan, and having heard a thousand testimonials from ex-drunks, I'm no more spiritual than when I had a double whiskey in my hand. If anything, the experience has reaffirmed by belief that there is no Big Mind in the sky. Now I will agree with Karr on one thing: prayer is ONE way for the individual to acknowledge his/her powerlessness. But it is only one among many.
@JesusWasAnAsshole and you seek out religious videos in order to dish out unsolicited criticism. which makes about as much sense. perhaps you are not qualified to criticize this woman or any Christian. the woman i see on this screen is joyful and wise, whereas you are just bitter and mean. i know who i'd rather listen to.
@DillonDemas , Sorry, but I am tired of the unsolicited Christian pretentious advise given out. Whether it is here on YouTube or in the news... all of this spouting off about needing prayer in school and sports games. Just this week, I had 2 servants of god, come knocking on my front door to tell me about being saved. Imagine their faces when I told them I don't believe in any god. We actually had an intelligent conversation for about 30 min. Anyway, sorry if my venting here affected you.

The Church doesn't need to change, people need to change their idea that an ancient Holy institution, God's Church, needs to change according to their personal views.
