I always make a tinny little hole with my incisives teeth at the center of the cigar, it avoids for me to get the tobbaco wet with my saliva while smoking.
I almost died of laughter when you two guys are complaining about the way Mr.Savona cuts his cigars. Why would it ruins the cigar, it makes no sence. It ain't cigarettes or a phillies. Hand made cigars are built with long tobaco leaves packed together real tight.
Don't ever hit your cigar like that, inside a cigar it's very fragile and "tapping" it on the ash tray like that will cause damage to the inside, or could crack the outer wrapper
@binyamj thanks for that advice, I just started and I would tap it like a cigarette, mostley against my thumb though, should you let the ashes just fall or how would you go about getting rid of them
You're welcome. For getting rid of the ash, I usually just let the ash fall off on its own. But if I want to get rid of it, I just brush the ash lightly against an ash tray or some other surface, without hitting it. That will get the ash completely off of the cigar, and not cause internal damage.
allright thanks, I havent had much experiences with cigars but am starting to get into it, I am actually going to Cuba with family and am going to try a few there, I live in canada so cubans are legal here anyway, most of my experiences have actually been sharing one with a good friend (same cigar) just for the experience, it was a great time and good for diferent situations in my oppinion, I am looking forward to getting into smoking cigars on a regular basis, how often do you smoke?
I live a little less than 2 hours south of BC so I've had a couple cubans, and they are definitely the best. I just try a new cigar every time I go to the store, this way I can get experience with a lot of different brands and types. On average I only have a couple a week (I'm a student). Watch docstogiefresh, on his channel he shows the proper way to cut and light a cigar.
i figure it's more fun to cut the cigar than to smoke em.

My personal Cut a Cigar Tip: nibble (DON'T BITE) on the mouthpiece of the cigar to make the tobacco a bit wetter, so it cuts easyer.

@DarkShroom
Scissors are fine so long as you make a clean cut with a sharp pair of scissors. The principles the same as a cutter.

I almost died of laughter when he said he liked to beat the cigar on the tray- it can ruin the structure of the cigar
