James, pedobear called, he wants his aviators back. Joking aside, this album is without a doubt their best since SFAM. Outcry is my favorite from that album and one of my all time DT favorites.
It's a good video, except the fact that they tried to make James Labrie look sinister. He looks very sinister, they did a great job there, but he doesn't exactly have a sinister voice. Kind of a bad move on the director's part.
Let's all face it. Wether an MP fan (like me major time) or Mangini fan. Mangini brought back to the band a spark that slowly faded away with MP. Of course it saddens me still to this day his departure, but this record is an epic one. Mangini is a little more groove oriented than MP on the last records (both MP and Mangini kick ass dont get me wrong), and the band has this energy that we hadnt seen in a long time. So let's all enjoy it as the thing it is: great music!!! Like if u agree
@dffXPac Absolutely, this is a real inspiring album, I really do the last song "Beneath the Surface" it sounds like a good bye to a 25 year road with Mike Portnoy, and a new beggining and a new chapter for Dream Theater. Mike Mangini has brought a new Spirit into the band.
@dffXPac lol, that's awesome, its quite a different song for them, but really powerful at the same time, if you goto the official Youtube Dream Theater page, there is an interview about all the tracks on the album. Good to see another DT inspired musician, In my opinion DT will be around as long as music is Alive, they have marked a HISTORY of every single musician on the planet, from Symphony to Metal...
@wolfLonee Definitely they have changed indeed he history of I believe all music. And their legacy will never be forgotten. Wether it is the guys playing until phisically uncapable, or just us, the fans honoring and paying respect to that group of people, who by the means of music have touched and changed people's lives. Ps. I'll definitely check out that interview
@dffXPac If one thing i Love so much is the Fans, never in my life have i seen a more deticated people of a band. I'll be driving my car and stop to get a drink or something (blasting Dream Theater in my car) Some random person will come up to me and say"Hey Man that's Dream Theater" This has happend so many times, one thing i have never experienced before in other bands. Its like our own little comminuty, lol. Once your a Dream Theater Fan, your one for LIFE.
I mean no disrespect, they are all amazing musicians and always have been. i am just stating my opinion on their more recent music, and it's true i have not listened to the entire album (which i do plan on doing) but personally this song does nothing for me, i am entitled to my opinion.
i listened to this song only thus far, ill give the rest of it a chance but like i said i haven't been really impressed by a DT album since '03 so im not expecting much
its not Dream Theater without Mike Portnoy... there i said it, the creativity of this band peaked at Scenes From A Memory... i was a huge Dream Theater fan but they haven't produced anything since Train of Thought that i really enjoyed
@bpcosby84 I agree with you that after train of thought their records weren't so good, but I totally like this one...and without Portnoy things now are much better (no stupid and unuseful growl, much less "metal" attitude in the records and no over 20:00 suites....they're more prog oriented)...give this new record a chance, trust me ;)
@bpcosby84 dude, the only thing i listen to is dream theater. I actually show some respect for the band because all i have on my ipod is dream theater. When im in school, i think about dream theater. I honestly think that their music is better with Mangini playing. The drums kind of sound like their moving with the song, not blasting in your face.
i absolutely will not "fallow" you..haha but them, its a diff thing. haha

It's DREAM THEATER, who can argue. This is simply an elite awesome kick ass type of band period!

@honkforpeaceandquiet I kind of agree. The "look" he had made him look like he would have Russel Allen's voice lol. I like your comment.
