i just read that Brooke here was 12 when she star in Pretty baby in 1978 ( later on that year she turned 13) and in Blue lagoon when she was 15 I've seen Blue Lagoon on HBO when younger and seen alittle bit of Pretty Baby the movie scared the hell out of and disconected from the movie site when i seen how young she was.....So needless to say my question is how the hell are these 2 movies not black flaged as child porn i mean WTF people.. thx in advance for any real answers that are given.

You do have a good point. The Blue Lagoon was done very innocently, but Pretty Baby isn't innocent at all. It is, however, a very real look at a very real life that once existed. Slap on a name like "Louis Malle" and that automatically commands Hollywood's respect (yes, "oh brother"). To me, this film succeeds in keeping the subject very "matter of fact", which is was to the people who lived that life. Whether or not we needed to see this lifestyle depicted on film is another question.

-Firstly, neither movie contains ANY pornography. At all.

-15 is not the age of a child, so no 'child porn' there either.

-Pretty Baby, while visually very good (excellent camera work and sets) is not a very good movie. While it does show a 12 year old Brooke Shields naked, it most certainly is NOT pornographic.
