Why are they "probably good people"? The company concerned, like all companies, are out to make a profit any way they can. They don't care about anything else. That's how capitalism works. If you want people to have a different motivation, you have to think up a different system.

Its officers are required by law to concern themselves only with the profit of the shareholders, who can sue them for letting other considerations interfere with profit maximization. They may care about people, but they can express that caring only in their private lives, not a work.

I don't support this stuff either. I am 10, and being a girl I am around other, sluty, football playing jerks that have earings and highheels. Even though I hate sports, I dont mess around!!! I am a mix between a boy (thinking gross things are cute, playing video games, and other things.) and a girl (smart, funny, passionate likes to watch horror movies and loves sonic the hedgehog) not the new games though. ( like old things)

I didn't say an 8 year old would worry about pantylines. You like to put words in people's mouths. Most clothes for them are not tight enough because they just aren't big enough for it. So a thong most likely wouldn't be an issue but maybe they have a costume or something where a panty line would show and she would feel uncomfortable wearing no underwear at all. I would get her a thong or one of those no-panty-line undies. If both of those didn't work, I'd tell her to suck it up and go commando.

I don't understand why you're making a big deal about thongs being seen as sexy when no one is going to be looking at your kid in the thong? Being naked is seen to be sexy, but no one is looking at your kid naked! If you give your daughter a lacy training bra... again NO ONE (hopefully) is looking at your kid in her bra. Its just do not see this as a problem unless I find they're showing things off.

TOTALLY AGREE! When my daughter started wearing makeup a few years ago we were ok with it, it looked good, then all of a sudden it was very bad (friends). She stopped after one of our friends told her privately she looked like a harlot and it was saying something bad about her and us. We have a rule in this house for our girls; if you wouldnt wear it around grandpa, you dont wear it period. it works, plus he has them write a 5 pg essay why they should be allowed to wear it. That works too.
