Brilliant...that almost bought a tear to my eye! Happy happy days! Awesome atmosphere in the underground, used to dance my arse off, fucked up on those beautiful doves, callies etc. First went in August 90 for my birthday. A load of us used to drive down from Croydon during 90-92, I had some of the best nights of my life down there!

For everyone who went there, just remember, we saw that scene and it will never be repeated...im glad i was there!

That night was a corker - I still have the Music Maker tape from that night, soon putting onto CD !

Sterns was unrivalled - apart from out very own mini-sterns, Madisons in Bournemouth !

Happy days we all still talk about to this day, the scene at it's peak.

Don't think the mind or body could cope with it now ! But great to watch these old videos - puts the hairs on my neck up everytime.

Madisons :) practically lived in there during 92/93. Did you used to go to Kev's House/Remix? went to a couple of Wavenations too, the New Yrs Eve one was awesome. Ah memories :)

Never went to Kev's House, but occasionally to Fat Ian's and whatever it was called after that for techno nights 95-96, the Millenium Club 97 onwards.

Maddies was class though, great times mate.

Damn Sterns tapes used to blow my mind, i remember hearing kenny ken & lenny dee tape!! I was only 12 at the time but it really got my attention - needed to hear it about 100 times just to make sense of what i was hearing!!

By the time i was 18 Sterns had closed :(

i remember 1 nite the story of mensa(the owner)was killed in a car crash in spain and the club was goona close and the nite the fire alarm went of because some1 jumped of the speakers and got killeed, and the partys in the carpark after 6am,and the annoucment in the underground(which was the cellar of the nitclub in them days) to move your car off the dual carrageway or the police would take the car(sterns was big at the time)and...

we came from gatwick, everyone else came from brighton, worthing, london, weymouth, portsmouth,southampton,horsham­,sussex,hapshire,wiltshire,ken­t,devon,dorset and plymouth, never meet people from cornwal but plymouth is along way to travell to sterns, but it was internationally known.........................­..............................­..............................­............. to rock the microphone

I was there that night. Probably one of the last times I ever went to Sterns. Had been a great couple of years but all the heavy snowballs etc kinda brought things to an end.. and I remember the breakbeat sounds started to move in.. not so much what I was into.
