I am a huge fan of Sammy's because of his chill attitude. Of course, I don't know him. But, it seems like he is all about the fan first. He is not really driven by money or fame. Heck - he has enough money to last him many lifetimes. But, he still comes out and gives it all he has. Who else would give a drink to an audience member, tell the stories that he does, or sign a ton of memorabilia and show the signs that people made while singing. Love him!!!

Well, I love the old Van Halen as well as the Van Hagar years. David was great but he, in my humble opinion believe that Sammy is so great to see because he writes most all his songs and is humble and much less ego oriented. thanks for the comment and if u have not seen Sammmy live, give it a chance to see him live with Michael Anthony and you might have a change of heart. see ya

I agree. As I have posted in many videos, david lee roth was a good singer, and was very talented, but he was an idiot. He was cocky and way to showy. Sammy was awesome, and as I read in a book Dave said he would never sing a sammy hagar song. I have a live album from 1992 (Hagar Era) and he sings "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love""Panama""You Really got me" and "Jump" Which shows how much he knows that this is Van Halen and every song counts.

he was great but his huge ego got him kicked out. he has never been a songwriter if you check out all there albums on who wrote the songs and i like sammy better because he writes most all his songs and he is not cocky at all. I do agree that he is very good.
