Latin dancing? I hope she does not mean ballroom dancing. The leader should not keep constant eye contact with his partner because he needs to be looking around the room over his partners shoulder. If he stares into her eyes he won't see any of the couples dancing around them and will most likely bump into a wall, person, or anything else that may be in the room.
