I wish to set the record straight about Archer and TPOL. A few of the writers said that had the show not been cancelled, Trip and TPOL would have gotten back together. They did not do a first officer/Cap romance in Voyager cuz it was thoght it wold take away from the show. Kate Mulgrew (Cap Janeway) said in an interview, everyone wanted a romance for the two. But she told the writers no, cuz she did not think the target age range of men would take the show seriously.

It was from "A night in sickbay" and was a dream sequence that Archer had about the two of them.

Man that was great,it almost brought tears to my eyes!! I think Archer and T'Pol SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOGETHER!! For the life of me I can't understand why the writers put her with Trip! Taht's the main reason I stop watching the show!

It really seemed like the writers were going to put them together. Especially in the episode where Shran is it for the first time.sahran seemed to pick up on feelings Archer had for T'pol and tried to pick a nerve by harrasing t'pol. But then the writers forgot all that.

I completely agree. I never undestood why the writers put T'Pol and Trip together. They had nothing in common!! However Archer&T'Pol woud have been a GREAT couple without a doubt.

I think its a rule in tv shows that you can't have the two main people get together until the end of the show. It kills the chemistry.  Im sure if enterprise went anouther 2 or 3 seasons, eventually they would have gotten together.

They had much better chemistry then t'pol and hillbilly...er..i mean tucker.

It didn't work out for Janeway and Chakotay. Same situation - captain and first officer. I suppose that's just a no go. What a pity.

@Sulathron Oh god, my eyes! The goggles they do nothing! Janeway and chakotay :S . I always thought that seven of nine and the doctor would have made an excellent couple.

@jebes909090 i think personally myself that trip and t'pol had better chemistry during the xindi arc just because they found out that they both needed emotional support through the toughest times of their lives and that brought them closer together...archer just became too cold and closed off and was heading int he opposite direction he was becoming more vulcan like than t'pol was. I think trip was the perfect pick for her

They probably put Trip and T'Pol together because Acher and T'Pol weren't allowed to have a relationship because of their ranks.

I would've liked Archer/T'Pol much more than Trip/T'Pol.
