  • I was there that day. It's a good video, but I'll always remember each drop of rain landing like they were all placed in the moment in the middle of the singing and the fantastic rainbow that came. It was a very deep, beautiful and spiritual moment as though Liam was performing his final bit of theatre.

  • What a send off!!!!!!

  • RIP Mr. Clancy....

  • Happy is the corpse that the rain rains on

  • Wow , that was spine tingling.

  • What beautiful singing. Very moving.

  • Im sorry for seeming...misunderstood. I plan on going to Ireland soon, and i would like to pay a visit to Mr. Clancy's grave. I google the two graveyards (the one in the beginning of the video, and the one in the description) and i cant find andything about either graveyard. What and where is the graveyard he is buried at? Thnak you

  • The soul of those who have suffered at the hands of evil grows beyond all measure, just as the souls of those who have committed great evils and deceits are wizened and blasted to hell.

  • thats awesome

  • @enyrb thats Finbarr Clancy, Liams nephew

  • Thank you Janette, it all happened so spontaneously and I was just lucky to be there and have my camera at hand. BTW (to ENYRB), the guy in the middle is a Clancy, Finbar, a nephew of Liam's and a son of Bobby's....he's now with The High Kings, continuing on a great tradition.

Your memory lives on through your music.

I'll sing Go Lassie Go every springtime in anticipation of the summertime coming and send thoughts of thanks winging to you. ß

  • How fitting it is raining softly, you see, even Heaven cries for our loss.

  • We are running out of talent Liam Luke Ronnie who is going to carry our musical traditions forward sure the young listen to another type of music it would be a shame if all future clans only have you tube to remind them of how it used to be, we may never see their like again it will rank as one of Ireland's greatest losses, memories of a distant past, makes life bearable listening to our folk music.. thanks for the post shame it was so so sad.. R.I.P liam you earnt it...

  • beautiful sendoff for a great talent. Thank you for posting this. Met the man me self years ago and am a better man for it.

  • May we never die!!

  • I met Liam Clancy and his brothers before Bobby died. Robbie O'Connell was with them after a concert they gave. They noticed our group because we were singing harmony to their songs in the front row. A gracious group of men. Bobby sang some old songs with my husband, Liam gave us CDs, signed my husband's guitar, Robbie was extremely friendly also. I count myself fortunate to have met them all.

  • The Partin' Glass was very appropriate, Liam. I hope and pray that we all meet in that Big Pub up there., and belt out all the great Ballads.
